Chapter 12
Blair
I had my bags packed and was ready to make my case to the Council of Elders. As for the contract, I still needed to discuss a few details with Dominic before signing. From my room, I called Alpha Julian and Beta Nash to meet me at Alpha Dominic’s suite–where I was supposed to meet him before
leaving.
When an Alpha leaves as a guest, the host Alpha and Luna are expected to personally thank him. But as I walked down the hall, I spotted Julian carrying Violet out of the room. My mind went blank. What the hell had Violet done now? Why was she unconscious? And why couldn’t Julian just have someone else deal with her? Once again, I was being shoved into an awkward situation because of his mistress.
“Julian!” I called as he passed. “We need to talk about my trip to the Thunderforge Pack.”
“Not now, Blair!” he snapped, brushing past me with Violet in his arms.
I stood there, cheeks burning with a mix of frustration and embarrassment. I looked around for Beta Nash, but he was gone too. Over the past few days, Nash had made his stance clear–his subtle acts of defiance were stacking up, making it obvious that he no longer respected my authority. I clenched my fists and turned to Alpha Dominic, only to find him staring at me with such intensity that I blushed.
I didn’t know why, but his entire body was rigid, muscles locked so tightly that his knuckles turned white. His jaw

“Alpha Dominic,” I said cautiously.
“Blair,” he answered, his voice beast–like, as if his wolf was talking to me.
I should have hesitated, but instead, I stepped closer. “I think we should wait since Julian-”
“We’re not waiting another damn minute!” he snapped. “Get your bags. We’re leaving now.”
“But… Julian won’t agree.‘
Before I could finish, he strode forward, closing the distance between us in an instant. His broad frame loomed over me, his scent–a mix of cedar and something intoxicatingly male–flooding my senses. “Do you know why Violet was here?” he asked, his voice like a dangerous storm hovering over me. My
mind went blank.
He said, “She came here to introduce herself… and to let me know she could ‘do‘ better than you in bed,” he said, his tone like a blade cutting through the air.”
I was stunned. “What?”
“Oh, yes, Luna Blair. And the moment Julian heard it, she conveniently passed out. Julian took her away, claiming it was her pregnancy hormones.” He narrowed his eyes. “Now, do you want to stay here and face more humiliation? If you say yes, I’m going to kidnap you anyway!”
My face burned as humiliation and rage twisted inside me.
I stood there shocked, my face burning red. I couldn’t take it anymore. I blinked back tears, controlled my expression, and took a deep breath. “No, I’m already packed. I’ll go with you.”

The tension in his shoulders melted instantly. “Good.” His lips twitched like he was holding back a smirk.“! I’ve already ordered my warriors to gather. Someone will get your bags, and we’ll leave as soon as possible!”
He turned, disappearing into his suite.
I exhaled sharply before hurrying back to my room. As I made my way there, I spotted Beta Nash, “Nash!” I called out. “I’m heading to Thunderforge Pack. Please arrange a driver and car.”
He hesitated before responding in a flat tone, “Sorry, Luna Blair, but no cars are available. Alpha Julian has ordered all the drivers to wait at the hospital for Miss Violet.”
My eyes widened in shock.
“So, you can’t leave today. We can only take you when Alpha Julian doesn’t need the cars.”
