Chapter 19
I heard news of Natalie Wilkinson again during the summer break of freshman
year.
Harvard University was filled with the top students from across the country. The academic atmosphere was incomparable to before.
I was busy and fulfilled every day.
By chance, a high school classmate mentioned Natalie Wilkinson in our group chat. They said Natalie’s mental state worsened after repeating a year and she still failed to get into Harvard.
However, Harvard had already become her obsession. She wanted to repeat again. but was ordered by her parents to fill out her college preferences.
It was actually a good school, just that her dream could no longer come true. They sighed in the group chat. Some still remembered our conflict and specifically tagged me, asking for my opinion.
I didn’t reply, just felt a complex mix of emotions in my heart.
Just as I was lost in thought, I suddenly bumped into someone in front of me.
I rubbed my head, about to say something as I looked up, but Daniel Collins stuffed a cup of milk tea into my hand.
“What are you spacing out for? Not even looking at the road?”
With that, he took my hand and walked forward, saying as we walked: “I have a meeting this afternoon. Want to go eat at Burger Place in a bit? Your favorite place…”
In the August summer, the sunshine was just right.
