Chapter 153
“Stay where you are,” Antonio warned Gabriel, his gun still trained on him. “If you so much as twitch, I’ll put a bullet in you.”
Zabelle’s breath hitched as she glanced at Antonio,

He didn’t need to say a word for her to know he was furious with her. The tension in his clenched jaw and the storm brewing in his dark eyes said in
She swallowed hard as she began to make her way to him, her legs feeling shaky. When she reached him, Antonio’s free hand shot out, pulling her against his side.
His arm wrapped firmly around her waist, anchoring her to him while his other hand kept the gun steady
Zabelle didn’t argue when he started to guide her out of the mansion, her heart pounding as Gabriel glared at them but dared not make a move Vanessa and Lily were frozen, too terrified to intervene.
Zabelle’s breath caught in her throat when they stepped out. The sheer number of guards surrounding the estate stunned her as it easily doubled the security Gabriel had
The sight of so many armed men all under Antonio’s command, sent a chill down her
spine.
Antonio’s grip on her hand was firm, almost punishing, as he led her to his car. She barely had time to process the scene before he opened the door, helping her inside.
He buckled her seatbelt himself, his movements stiff and wordless.
She could feel the anger radiating off him, and it made her stomach churn, Maybe coming here without telling him wasn’t the best choice.
She had made that decision while she was upset but now that it had reduced, the haze had cleared from her eyes.
Antonio climbed into the driver’s seat, his jaw tight as he started the car.
The drive back to the Garcia mansion was silent, the tension thick enough to cut with a knife.
Zabelle opened her mouth countless times to say something, anything, but the words wouldn’t come, and so she gave up.
When they arrived back at their mansion, Antonio wasted no time.
He got out of the car, opened her door, and pulled her out by the hand. It was as though he was trying to stop her from running into the mansion and locking herself up in their room.
The thought sounded very appealing to her, but she didn’t dare give in to her as that would only make her situation worse, so he had nothing to worry about.
His grip was firm but not painful as he led her inside and up the stairs straight to their bedroom.
Zabelle’s heart raced as she tried to gauge his mood, but his expression was like stone.
Once inside the room, Antonio locked the door with a decisive click, the sound echoing in the silence.
Zabelle’s stomach dropped, and she swallowed nervously as she turned to face him.
He stood there, towering over her, his eyes dark and interne. His silence was deafening, and the weight of his gaze made her feel small

“Exactly,” he snapped. “You didn’t think. And what would’ve happened if I hadn’t shown up! Did you plan to take a bullet from that bastard one that would have ended your life!”

your life like that. Not while you’re mine.”
He leaned in closer, his breath warm against her ear as he whispered, “You’ll never do something like that again. Do you understand me?” Zabelle nodded quickly, her heart racing as he pulled back just enough to meet her eyes. The intensity in his gaze was almost too much to bear. “Good” he said, his voice softer now but still firm. “Because I won’t lose you, Zabelle. Not to Gabriel, not to anyone.”
Her breath hitched at his words. “I promise,” she said, her voice barely above a whisper.
“We’ll talk more about this tomorrow.” he said and Zabelle frowned.
“Are you sull mad at me?”
She asked as he turned to leave.
“Yes, I am.” Antonio didn’t bother to hide it and she bit her tongue.
“I already said I’m sorry,” Zabelle said.
“And it’s at my discretion whether to accept your apology or not.” Antonio responded and her frown deepened.
