Chapter 4
1:
The man’s words stabbed into my heart like knives, but not a trace of vulnerability showed on my
face.
“I got it, I will change the address when I go back.”
Upon hearing my calm words, his pupils momentarily contracted, as he had not expected me to be so reasonable.
“You…”
His brows furrowed, he reached out his hand to grab me, but Ryleigh grabbed his arm.
“Cameron, didn’t you promise me to take me for a good stroll today? I haven’t been back for many tears, and it has changed so much that I can hardly recognize it.”
She giggled and embraced Cameron, blocking our line of sight.
And after Cameron heard her words, she cast aside the doubts in her mind about my reaction and followed Ryleigh’s lead as she pulled her away.
Watching their fading figures, I reached out and touched my chest. After going through it a few more times, it didn’t hurt as much anymore.
I called the bridal shop and made changes to the information left there, and specified that the remaining items should all be delivered to the new address.
I had planned the time for taking wedding photos in advance and was ready to go to the bridal shop to finalize the shooting details.
Just as I was discussing the shooting time with the staff, I suddenly saw Cameron with his arm around Ryleigh’s shoulder. They were on the other side, holding a photo album in their hands, flipping through it with smiles on their faces.
At that moment, the two of them also noticed me, and the joy on their faces instantly disappeare
When he saw me, Cameron’s expression became somewhat awkward, and he unconsciously les of Ryleigh’s hand.
He reached out and pulled me aside, blocking Ryleigh’s line of sight.
“What are you doing here? Tess, why do you have to bother me?”
He had a face full of impatience, as if my entanglement was such a great annoyance to him.
“What were you holding in your hand?”
Suddenly, he snatched the wedding photo from my hands, furrowed, flipped through a few pages, and angrily threw it on the ground.
I said I don’t want to get married now, why are you still picking out wedding photos? Let me tell you, if you want to get married, go find someone else, because I won’t marry you!”
He spoke decisively, without leaving me any face.
And I simply picked up the wedding photos he had thrown on the ground in silence, dusting off the dirt from them.
Seeing my reaction, a hint of confusion crossed Cameron’s face, as if he hadn’t seen me argue with him loudly like before, feeling a bit uncomfortable.
“I’m leaving right now.”
As I was about to turn around and leave, Cameron grabbed my arm.
His strength was so great that it made my facial features crumple in pain.
“Don’t use this method to force marriage anymore, Tess, save some face for yourself.”
He snorted coldly and ruthlessly threw me aside.
After saying that, he turned around
and went to find Ryleigh.
When I left, Cameron’s words reached my ears carried by the wind.
“I really had nothing with her, we were just friends. I didn’t expect her to have such thoughts.”
He hurriedly distanced himself from me, afraid that Ryleigh might misunderstand.
Upon hearing this, I let out a bitter laugh.
As you wished, I got married to someone else.
