Chapter 10
Afterwards, I heard from a friend that Vincent was hospitalized and had been running a fever.
I thought I wouldn’t see him again in the near future.
Until the servant at home said that there was a person standing outside the door for a long time, saying that he wanted to see me.
I nodded, always wanting to make things clear.
“Please invite the person in.”
Looking at Vincent’s flushed cheeks, I knew that he had come over while still running a fever.
He sat down.
“What do you want to say?”
Vincent licked his dry lips due to the fever.
“Reina, listen to me, let me explain. I didn’t like Yaritza. I took care of her solely because her parents were kind to me when they were alive. Now she’s all alone, and I treat her like a sister.”
“I liked you. It has always been you.”
I sighed and poured him a glass of water.
Vincent, a gentleman judges by actions, not by intentions.
It was you who regretted the marriage.
Let me face the pointing fingers, it was you.
It was you who flew to Swobia with Yaritza.
When I and Yaritza had a dispute, regardless of the reasons, it was you who scolded me and made me apologize.
I didn’t believe it when I left to go mountain climbing, carrying Yaritza with me. It was still you who I left behind.
Just like today, when you come running over so openly, have you ever considered my situation? If Hezekiah is an unforgiving person, my life will be very difficult in the future, you know?
Vincent froze, “Sorry, I wanted to see you.”
Then he continued, “He treats you badly. How about getting a divorce? Yes, divorce. After divorcing him, marry me, just like Reina.”
I thought Vincent had lost his mind. “What are you thinking? I’m doing well now, and I won’t get
divorced.”
Vincent murmured, “If I hadn’t left, you would have been my wife, mine.”
I got up and said, “Marriage is not a child’s play, Vincent. You go, let’s just leave it like this.”
He refused to say, “Is Hezekiah really such a good person that you should marry him?”
“We have been together for such a long time, you didn’t trust me, you trusted him?”
I looked at him and said, “Whether I believe him or not, I won’t believe you anymore.”
“Since Yaritza came back, there hasn’t been a single time when you firmly believed in me, stood by my side. Whenever there was a need for a choice between the two of us, I was always the one left behind.”
“From clothes, bags, to jewelry, and even your time and commitment, to the wedding dress and wedding that we designed together, and most importantly, to you as a person.”
Although it has already passed, I still feel wronged and my eyes turned red..
“Do you know that I was ignored and left behind by you so many times?”
“I even, have already gotten used to it.”
“So, Vincent, you go, go find Yaritza, find anyone, just don’t come looking for me.”
I didn’t care when he left.
After Hezekiah came home, I told him about this matter, and he listened quietly without any
reaction.
He finally nodded.
I was still expecting him to ask more questions, as I looked at his puzzled expression.
He said, “Reina, I knew your temper. When you messaged me to register, I already knew that you?! had let him go and wouldn’t choose him anymore.”
I was stunned, then laughed and said, “Really?”
“Mr. Hennen, you have mixed up your materials.”
Hezekiah froze for a moment, then reluctantly took the official documents and laughed with me.
