The car was silent as it pulled up to a large, gated mansion and they were waved through by a security team.
The doors opened and as soon as Kiefer stepped out, she was jumping out of the car and running as fast as she could down the driveway. She’d scale the gates if she needed to.
She got five steps before she was swung back up in Kiefer’s arms and carried towards the house.
‘Let me go!”
“Not in a million fucking years. You’re my wife but more importantly, you need to pay for the shit you caused.”
“How?”
“Oh my god, is that Genesis?”
The high–pitched tone of Kiefer’s younger sister Aoife burned through Genesis‘ body and adrenaline more than what she’d already felt today burst forth. She managed to get out of Kiefer’s arms and was atop Aoife before anyone could stop her. The blonde’s head. bounced off the cement of the stairs into the house as Genesis landed three solid punches to her face before she was pulled off kicking and screaming.

I’m going to fucking kill her! She’s going to fucking die. Let me go!” she managed to get an arm loose from Tadgh who was trying to hold her back with Kiefer. “You stupid fucking cunt!” The gasps from all the men around her at the crass words from a woman they’d all known to be quiet and demure should have told her she’d gone to far, but Genesis was finally in a spot where she could exact some of the revenge she’d wanted to for seven years. Her arm loose she grabbed the gun from under Tadgh’s coat and all the men were scrambling to get it from her. She managed to get a shot off in Aoife’s direction before they got the gun away from her.
She was pinned to Kiefer’s chest, her hands and arms held tight, and she couldn’t stop the tears streaming down her face.
“Did you ever tell them what you did Aoife? Did you? Did you tell them how you pushed me down the stairs into the wine cellar? Did you tell them how you and the bitch of a best friend of yours laughed at me when I said I was pregnant.”
“You underwent an abortion. The bill from the hospital said abortion,” Kiefer’s breathing was heavy.
“Spontaneous abortion is the medical term for miscarriage, you stupid fuck,” she swung her legs backwards to try to kick him in the balls. “She did it. She pushed me down the fucking stairs and killed my baby. You better hope to fuck your brother never leaves you unattended as long as he keeps me prisoner because if I get the chance, I’m doing to you what you did to my son.”
Her chest was rising and falling so fast she felt she was on the verge of passing out from the quick exchange of oxygen in her
blood.
“She’s lying,” Aoife cried out as she covered her bloody nose with her hands. “She’s crazy.”
“Fucking right I’m crazy. You killed my baby.” A thought occurred to her, and she threw her head back laughing as she almost head–butted Kiefer. “They accused me in the car of erasing the evidence at the house so they couldn’t investigate but it was you!” She cackled like a maniac, “you got the wimpy little guard you were always blowing to erase it. Let me guess, you got him to tell Kiefer I deleted the footage of you shoving me down and dumping the wine all over me.” She looked over her shoulder, “let me go and I’ll make her tell you the fucking truth.”
“She’s lying!”
“There were three housekeepers on the night of the party,” Genesis called out with a bitter laugh. “Two of them were so afraid of her and Laoise they didn’t want to interfere but the third one, her name was Mary. The minute her and the psychopath went back to the party, she came downstairs and helped me up. I was bleeding and she rushed me to the emergency room. She told me she knew Laoise would punish her for helping me, so she quit the minute she dropped me at the emergency room doors. I don’t know where she went but if you find her, you’ll know who drove me to the hospital and why.”
Kiefer slowly released his hold on Genesis as he prepared to question his sister but then Genesis was lunging at the woman again.

“Genesis, I want to let you walk into the house on your own. Can you stop trying to kill my sister for a fucking half–second?”
“No. I will never stop trying to kill her. You let me go, I’m going for her. What I do to her though, won’t be nothing compared to what I do if the other bitch shows up. If I get my hands on Laoise Poole, for kicking me in the stomach while I lay sobbing on the floor of the fucking wine cellar, I’m going to slit her throat and gut her. I’m going to take her womb from her body and I’m going to make her eat it.”
“She’s fucking psycho!” Aoife squealed as she ran into the house.
“Get her in my office. I’m going to get to the bottom of this today.” Kiefer’s voice was icy.
“You can’t be believing this shit,” Tadgh questioned seriously.
Holding Genesis in his arms he twisted his body to point her at his brother, “you tell me if her reaction to seeing Aoife is faked, Tadgh. Think on it and think hard. Does this,” he shook Genesis as if she were a ragdoll, “seem fake to you?”
Tadgh ran his fingers through his hair and sighed, looking at Genesis. “What was the name of the guard you think Aoife was fucking around with.”
“Benny, Billy, Bobby? I don’t know. It was a B name. I didn’t like. him because whatever she wanted him to do, he’d do if she sucked his dick. The twin brothers exchanged a long glance and then Tadgh nodded, “he’s here. We brought him with us on this job. We’re going to interview him.”
“If you want the truth from him, offer him your sister’s snatch.”
“Enough with the crude talk, Gen.”
“Let me go. I want to go home.”
“You are home.”
“Burbank is not home.”
“Where I am, is your home. You told me this once.”
“Yeah, before you fucked your best friend’s little sister and left me to rot in a hospital room. She punched his chest when he swung her up in his arms bridal style.
“I will get to the bottom of this, but you are my wife. For the last seven years I’ve been looking for you, under the impression you requested an abortion and then took off after selling me out to the feds. As of right now, I don’t know what the truth is and what is bullshit but I’m going to get to the bottom of it.”
“You know what I find interesting?” she wasn’t struggling now as she was being carried through the house, a place she’d never been in. Genesis was taking it all in, looking at every door, every window, every staff member they passed so she could make an escape plan.
“What do you find interesting?”
“That bitch Laoise was sent from Ireland to America because she got into shit causing trouble and fucking around with a married man your sister introduced her to and instead of,” she gave a bitter laugh, “instead of for a half–second contemplating maybe the two of them are evil and twisted as fuck, you immediately went to me being the one who was in the wrong.
“You went to the feds. I have a bill downstairs for an abortion.”

“You took my son from me in an abortion, Genesis. You will stay here. You will resume your role as my wife. You will replace the son you stole.”
“I didn’t steal anything. Your sister and her BFF did. Maybe you can ask the ginger–bitch to replace what she destroyed.”
“Hey,” he roughly dropped her to her feet in a bedroom which she intuitively knew was his, “you forget I’m a ginger.”
“I have tried to forget everything about you, Kiefer O’Reilly, from the red hair on your head, to the stupid freckles all over your body and the weird toes on your feet. I have done my best to stay away from you and your psycho mob family.”
“You gave the feds false intel on me knowing they would run with it. You should have known I’d come for you.”

“You’re angry and I’m going to get to the bottom of it.” He gripped her by the shoulders and before she could stop him, he pressed a kiss to her lips. When she swung to smack him, he caught her by the hand and then kissed her palm. He motioned to the bed, “you should go lay down. We’ll get reacquainted when I come back up and it could be a long night, wife.”
