“It was them… the people you brought. They took Mrs. Griffin away. She wasn’t forced, she left willingly. They all headed toward the deck together. By the time I sent someone after them, they were gone. Only a pile of clothes was left behind. Mrs. Griffin probably fell into the sea.”

“Those animals must have forced her. Willa wouldn’t go with them otherwise! Something must’ve happened to her! What if they dragged her into the sea? She doesn’t even know how to swim! I have to find her now!“}
Jordan was about to storm out when his friend grabbed him. He punched Jordan in the face. “Calm down! Didn’t you hear what he said? Willa went with them on her own! Unless she already knew what you did and decided to take them down with her. What other reason could there be?“\
“Weren’t you sick of her being around? Now she’s gone, Jade is right next door, the woman you’ve wanted for five years is back! What’s with this sudden panic?” His friend’s words froze Jordan in his tracks. He couldn’t believe what he was hearing.
Yeah, he was the one who caused all this. So why was he freaking out now that Willa was gone? Jordan didn’t understand himself. Ever since Willa was dragged into that room the second time, he’d been losing control. A voice inside his head kept telling him that he would regret this. Jordan almost softened up at one point, but then he saw Jade’s teary eyes and he went back to his plan.
Tears started rolling down his face. Jordan almost collapsed. Jade appeared just in time, linking her arm through his. Her voice was sweet and gentle. “Jordan, what’s wrong? Did Willa cause trouble again? You spoiled her, she still thinks she’s a rich heiress. She’ll come to her senses later. Women need to be put in their place sometimes.”
His friend, who never liked Jade, snorted. “Put in her place? That’s never going to happen now. As you wished, Willa’s gone. With the same guys who hurt her.“>
A flicker of excitement flashed through Jade’s eyes, but she quickly masked it with a worried expression. “How could Willa be involved with those kinds of people? Jordan, do you think she’s addicted?” Jade bit her lip. “I saw a documentary once about cases like this, where victims start craving it after being forced the first time, then they start seducing men on their own … ”
“Jordan, don’t be sad. Maybe Willa didn’t mean it. If she comes back, I can find some doctors overseas to help her. Don’t be upset, okay? I’ll be here for you. For now, maybe it’s best not to look for her. Let’s not interrupt her fun and ruin your relationship with her.“}

That woman had seen the torture Willa endured with her own eyes. She had heard Willa’s screams of agony with her own ears. The image of Willa lying in a pool of blood was still burned into his mind. A sight too gruesome to forget.”
