The next morning, I woke at 5:00 AM, my mind racing with plans, doubts, and the weight of the decision ahead. Training would help clear my mind. I needed to feel grounded, to regain control over myself and the situation. So I called Grant.
Thankfully, no one else was around. Since I couldn’t block several of his attacks, my thighs and back were bruised, looking a bit rough.
After an hour of intense training, Grant said, “Luna, your mind is elsewhere.”
I took a deep breath, wiping my own face with the back of my hand. “Grant,” I whispered, stepping closer to him. “if I tell you something, you need to promise me you won’t speak a word of it to anyone. Can you do that?”
His frown deepened, but he nodded. “Of course, Luna.”
I scanned the yard to make sure we were alone, my voice dropping lower. “How many Silvermoon pack members are in the Obsidian pack?”
Grant hesitated. “About ninety.”
I nodded, the weight of what I was about to say sinking in. “I’m planning to take back my pack from Alpha Julian. I need your help. So, you and a few others need to keep a close watch on Violet. Are you

request.
I met his gaze, unflinching. “You don’t trust me, do you?” I narrowed my eyes, pushing him a little. “Without the pack merger, I would’ve been your Alpha, right?”
“I trust you completely, Luna Blair,” he quickly assured me, his voice steady but filled with worry. “But… this is unheard of. You could be… killed.”
“I know the risks,” I sighed, “but I’m doing my best. So please stay alert.”
There was a long pause, then he finally nodded: “I’ll always stand with you.”
“That’s great! This means a lot.” I felt a surge of excitement. Grant’s loyalty was everything to me. He had always kept a low profile, but his unwavering support made him my best ally.
I walked back to the house confidently and went straight to the kitchen to pour myself some milk. It was 7:00 AM, and I needed to get dressed quickly.
As I reached the kitchen, a sharp voice broke my concentration.
“Well, well, look who it is?” I rolled my eyes at Violet’s sharp tone. She walked up to me and poured herself some juice. She was wearing a camisole that showed off her cleavage. “I didn’t know you turned into a whore so quickly,” she said while sipping her juice.
Anger boiled inside me. “Watch your words, Violet. I’m still your Luna,” I said firmly, keeping my voice
even.
Her eyes narrowed as she took a deliberate sip of her juice. “What were you doing upstairs with Alpha
