Dominic
From the moment I met Blair at college, I couldn’t get her out of my head. My wolf, Kane, was so restless, and I had to keep him in check every time I looked at her.
It all started at my sister Aria’s party. I had planned to stay for just a few hours, but I ended up staying the whole day. That day, I didn’t talk to anyone, didn’t drink, didn’t care about the music or any other distractions. All my attention was focused on Blair. My eyes followed her everywhere, and my wolf
was intoxicated by her scent.
Nobody knew about the internal battle I fought with my wolf. I had to resist the overwhelming urge to claim her, to throw her down and mark her as mine.
The way she looked at me, like I was some kind of rogue, freaked me out. But what scared me even more was the certainty I had that I would lose control around her, and everything would go to hell. I had never lost control around women. I was always in charge. They liked pleasing me, and I was used
to that.
The next day, I left for my Pack without even saying goodbye to Aria. I knew if I had, I would have ruined everything.
So, when I heard the rumors about Blair’s husband and his lover a few days ago, I was shocked. How could someone have Blair and not appreciate her? After some investigation, I confirmed it was true- some idiot really had that much of a blind spot. Then I received Aria’s call, and when I heard that Blair desperately wanted to see me, I was overjoyed.
Kane had cursed me to forget about Blair two years ago, but now he was urging me to see her. I didn’t know why Kane was so fond of Blair. “We must see her. She’s hurting,” he pressed.
“Yes, we’ll go,” I said, and he seemed to settle down.
When I finally arrived at the Obsidian Pack, I saw Blair hiding behind the curtains in her room. I was happy to see her again, but Violet’s presence quickly soured the moment. Alpha Julian hadn’t invited Blair to any events, which irritated me even more.
I knew Blair had pulled off the Blue Bay Project, so I used that as an excuse to see her again.
Then, Blair showed up at the ball, even though Julian clearly didn’t want her there. And man, she
looked even more captivating than before.
She was surprised to find that I had a contract ready for her. Why did I prepare a contract? Well, you could say I did some research on her troubled relationship with her husband. You could also say I was taking advantage of the situation, but I knew she needed my help, and I needed her. This time, I wouldn’t miss my chance.
That evening, she took the papers to review them. Now, I was just waiting for her call. I was confident, but damn, I was anxious.
A knock at the door pulled me from my thoughts. From the scent, I knew who it was, so I didn’t open it. The knocking continued. I sighed, walked over, and opened it, narrowing my eyes. “What do you want,
Violet?”

She stood there, dressed like she was ready for the club, wearing only a bikini top and a micro–mini skirt, her breasts practically falling out of her top–totally trashy. Yeah, she was clearly trying to get into my bed. Kane growled at her, completely disgusted.
She smiled, swaying her hips in that overly confident way and said, “Alpha Dominic, I just wanted to say how honored we are to have you here in the Obsidian Pack. Is there anything I can do for you?” Her eyes lingered on my thighs, as if trying to undress me with her gaze.
“Excuse me, but who are you, coming to my room and talking to me like this?” I barked. “As far as I know, Blair is the Luna of this pack, not you. Did Julian send you here to express his gratitude for my visit?” I say harshly. “If he sent you, I should have a word with him about how disrespectful this is!”
She paled instantly. “No, he didn’t send me. I came on my own.”
“Who the hell do you think you are, making you think you can come to see me without my permission? Who allowed you to come?” I roar, and she begins to tremble.
“Al–Alpha Dominic,” she stuttered, swallowing nervously. “please don’t be angry.” I’m better than Blair in every way. She’s just using you to get back at Alpha Julian.”
I raise an eyebrow. “You mean you’re better than Blair… in bed?” I asked, my voice dripping with
sarcasm.
“Yes!” she nods eagerly.
“And you honestly believe…?” I start, but before I could finish, a voice from behind makes her jump.
“Violet,” Julian asks, “what are you doing here?”
She whipped her head around to look at him, her face draining of color. “I–I came-”
“She came to thank me for my visit to the Obsidian Pack,” I finished for her, coldly.
Julian froze, his expression hardening. He knew exactly how disrespectful it was for someone like Violet to say this. “I apologize, Alpha Dominic. She-”
“And she just offered to sleep with me, claiming she’s better in bed than Blair,” I added, blunt as ever.
“What?” Julian’s eyes widened, clearly in shock.
“No!” Violet pleads. “I never- oh!” She swayed and collapsed right into Julian’s arms, unconscious.
“Violet!” Julian caught her, panicked. He looked at me, his face full of desperation. “I’m sorry, Alpha Dominic. Her behavior is due to pregnancy hormones. Please, forgive her!”
Out of the corner of my eye, I notice Blair approaching. My fists clenched, and my wolf, Kane, growled again. “Mate.”
