The first time Talia met Deanna, she thought she was the campus heartthrob who had mistakenly wandered into the girl dorm. But later, as they both worked toward finding a cure for Curtis, they bonded over shared interests and became close friends.

Talia couldn’t help but smile. Alina looked stunning today, wearing a silk camisole, her chestnut–colored waves cascading down her back like a waterfall, swaying with the breeze.
She was dazzling, like a sunflower under the summer sun–bright and full of energy. Her presence warmed Talia’s broken heart.
She pulled away from Deanna and wrapped her arms around Alina. In her previous life, Alina had urged her to divorce, but Talia hadn’t listened. and their friendship had fractured. In the end, it was Alina who helped her pick up the pieces.

Talia lowered her gaze, a shadow crossing her face. Even Deanna couldn’t believe Edric could change.
“How could it not? All men are pigs! Edric’s heart started changing after graduation! I’m telling you, Talia has suffered so much this past year! Alina chimed in, her voice full of anger.
