“How dare you!! You made the Alpha-” I cut her off with a hot slap across her cheek, and her eye
eyes narrowed as they stared at me

Amber’s eyes were filled with rage and shock because it was the first time I was ever going to be like this to her. She and every other person pack has bullied me for years and I never fought back because I didn’t see the need to. “I’m going to tell the Alpha about this.” She threatened once I let go of her neck, and I scoffed.
“How about you get your fucking phone now and call him? Or how about you go back to his room and tell him that I did this to you?” I raised my eyebrows as a smirk spread across my lips. As much as I was scared of what Enzo would do to me, I was also ready for the worst thing to happen.
“You! You are not going to get away with this. I promise you!” She pointed her finger at me as she snarled, and I scoffed.
Her face softened and a smile crept on it as she took her hand to her stomach and rubbed it gently, her eyes gazing into mine. “It’s only a matter time before the Alpha throws you out of the packhouse and makes me his Luna when we have our baby.”
“I’m carrying the Alpha’s pup, and he’s going to make me his Luna in no time.”
My jaw dropped to the ground and my heart contracted painfully as my eyes diverted to her flat stomach.
“You look shocked. The Alpha hasn’t told you yet that we are expecting a baby?” She raised her eyebrows, and scoffed. “I guess he wanted to surprise you with it
I clenched my fingers into a fist, my breath hitched as I felt a sting in my heart.
I thought those words were mere lies, until I turned to leave and found Enzo standing behind me. I had no idea how long he has been standing there but I was sure he heard when Amber said she was carrying his child. I waited for him to deny it, but his face held no emotion as his eyes gazed at me with the ‘sot What will you do about it expression. She was right. She was really carrying his child.
“Alpha you are here…” Amber rushed to him and leaned on his body like she was weak
“She tried to kill me. She tried to harm our baby.” She whined, and I huffed.
“Alpha, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to tell her about our baby when you already asked to keep it a secret. I was just scared she would hurt us.” She wrapped her arm around his arm and rested her head on it, looking at me with a smirk on her face.
“Is she really carrying your child, Enzo? Is she telling the truth?” I wanted to ask him, but held myself back. He would’ve defended himself if she wasn’t selling the truth.
A piece of my broken heart was stomped on when he turned to her and asked. “Are you alright?”
“She only strangled me, but thankfully, the baby is fine. She replied to him in the most pretentious manner.
He turned to me, his eyes piercing into mine with no emotion in them. Leouldn’t tell if he was enraged or not.
“Do you desperately want me that you’ll go to any length to achieve it which includes harming another? When did you become this worse. Lyra?” His words cut deep into my already broken heart like a sharp dagger was being drilled into my chest. I clenched my jaw tightly and swallowed the Jump in my throat, trying to control the tears that were already building in my eyes.
“This should be the last time you ever try to harm Amber. I’m really going to make you pay if this repeats itself. He threatened then held her hand and walked away, leaving me standing there alone.
I placed a hand on my stomach and rubbed it gently as tears streamed down my cheeks. I was going to stay back when I found out that I was carrying his pup inside me, but now I realised that there was no place for me here. He was never going to accept my child as his when he doesn’t

I dragged my weak legs to my room and picked up my suitcase where I already arranged my things, sneaking out of the packhouse afterwards,
I only stopped walking once I was away from the packhouse and was sure nobody would see me there. It was in the middle of the night, and as stood at the side of the road, waiting for a cab, many thoughts lingered on my mind. The thought of being attacked here by an enemy wolf made my heart flutter fearfully
Going back to my father’s pack? Hell no! It was the last thing I’d do, knowing that my father won’t let me stay with him. He would send me that pit of hell because he was scared of Alpha Enzo’s wrath,

I waited for another ten minutes before I got a cab that drove me to the guest house where I would spend the night. I had no idea where I was going to go from there, but I needed to run far away from here. To a place he would never get to see me again.
