Lyra Hades
Enzo couldn’t stop smiling as he fixed his gaze on the screen of the scanner where the baby was displayed
After the doctor was done. Enzo held out his hand to help me sit up since I was lying on the beil, but 1 ignored his stand and sat up by myself though it was hard. He sighed.
“The baby is fine, so you have nothing to worry about. You just need to get some rest. And I will send a few medicine recommendations to the pharmacy. You can get it on your way out the doctor said to me with a smile on his face, and I nodded.
“Your next appoinment is in two weeks. Be sure to be here, alright?”
Thank your doctor I left his office before Enzo.
I only stopped walking when I got to the parking lot where Enzo parked his car, and I hopped inside before him.
My stomach grumbled hungrily the moment he hopped inside the car, and I rolled my eyes angrily. For fuck’s sake, not now, please!
Enzo looked at me through the rear view mirror. I thought he was going to ask me what I wanted to eat so he could go get it for me,
me, but he drove out instead. I guess I would just hold in the hunger until we get home. I’ll ask Claudia to make me something to eat once we get home.
I am pregnant for him. I guess he hasn’t told you about it.
A scoff tore through my throat as those words replayed in my head while closing my eyes. It felt like a dagger was drilled down my chest as my heart hurt so badly. How could he still bring me here even after betraying me? Why was he hell–bent on keeping me by his side when he already has a woman he loves?
If there was anything, then I was going to make him regret bringing me back here. I’m going to frustrate his life until he can’t take it anymore and would ask me to leave. Hopefully with my baby.
My attention was jolted back to reality when I felt the car stop in the middle of nowhere, but I realised that we were in the restaurant when I looked out of the window.
Enzo came to open the door for me like the good husband he would never be. He was only a traitor. A cheater.
I didn’t talk to him and just stepped out of the car, walking ahead of him.
I ordered what I wanted, and as I ate, Enzo kept staring at me.
Once I was done eating, he called the waiter’s attention, and when the young man came, Enzo asked how much was my bill.
“Here” Enzo was trying to take his card out of his wallet when I handed mine to the waiter instead as I said. “I will pay for the food.”
“Lyra.” Erizo tried to touch my hand, but I moved away from him, turning my attention to the waiter with a smile on my face.
“Give the card back to her. I will pay for the—”
I snatched the small machine from the waiter and inputted my pin. Once it was approved, I removed my card then stood up and left without waiting for him.
He followed me to the car, holding my hand and bringing me to an abrupt halt just before I got to the car.
“Lyra, you didn’t have to do that. That was embarrassing” His eyes were filled with rage as they stared into mine, but his voice came out calmly. He looked like he was trying so hard to suppress his anger. He had always unleashed it on me, why holding back now!
“If we are not going to leave here, should I take a cab instead?” I asked him instead, and he scoffed.
*I guess that is a yes.” I didnt spare another second before heading to the side of the road to get a cab,
“Get inside the car, Lyra.” He stated coldly once he caught up

“Enzo, stop trying to be so relevant because you are not. Stop trying hard because it’s really annoying 1 threw him a disgusting glare before walking away. I soon got a cab, and I bounded it home.

1 had no idea how he did it, but he was already home by the time the cab I boarded arrived at our apartment.

I had expected him to get mad at me or even yell when I got inside, but instead, he stood up as soon as I walked inside the living room and came to stand in front of me with a soft expression on his face.
“Do you want to go for a walk?” He asked.
“No.” I replied to him simply, walking past him. He held my hand and pulled me back.
“Lyra..” he called my name in a shaky breath, placing his hands on my shoulders as he held them firmly yet gently, his eyes gazing into mine. They were filled with pain and longings.
My heart, which used to flutter excitedly at his touch, suddenly wrenched painfully as I gazed back into his eyes. I couldn’t bring myself to get the fact he cheated on me off my head. The fact that another woman was carrying his child out there, and here I was, having to endure the pain just to save my pack from his wrath. How heardless of him!
I shrugged his hands off my shoulders and stepped away from him. “Don’t cross your boundary, Enzo. Stop touching me.” I warned him before turning to leave when he spoke up.
“You are my wife, Lyra. Have you forgotten that?”
I scoffed, throwing my head back and clenching my jaw tightly.
“Wife?” Lasked, turning to face him. There were so many things on my mind to say to him, but was it worth it?
“Screw you, Enzo. The only reason why I’m here is because you threatened to take it out on my pack, not that I see myself as your wife. So you fucking respect that and keep off me, Enzo.” I warned him before leaving. I only stopped walking when I got inside the room. I didn’t know for how long I would be able to hold myself together, but I needed to. Enzo was a man of his words. He wouldn’t just threaten someone without doing it, and making my pack suffer because of me was the last thing I wanted…
