“I know that I was wrong and I’m willing to make it right for your sake. Anyway, Life without me may be harder than you think. Remember that you left your poor father in my pack.” He said it like a warning, but I didn’t care because I didn’t feel any fear
anymore.
I growled at him angrily, “It doesn’t matter! My father and I are family, and I’ll do what is expected of me as his daughter. However you and I aren’t family, so I don’t have to be involved with you ever again!”
I didn’t want anything to do with a cheater!
After I left the Rising Moon pack, I didn’t even think about him.
I had loved him so hard that no one would ever think that I could walk away from his abuse.
Our love story had reached its final chapter. My past experiences with Blake,

though valuable, were now mere lessons. They no longer held power over me. He was now the one that was still in their grip.
Blake’s gaze pierced mine, questioning my feelings, “Amber, stop being so dramatic. You can straighten things out and once the storm passes, I’ll mark you and we’ll be mates again, but this time, officially. I swear I’ll show you a lot of love and care.”
His words were so upsetting that they made me throw a punch at his abdomen.
He bent over and he held onto his stomach as he stared at me with surprise evident on his face.
“You’ve crossed a line! You’re just here to manipulate me with your sweet words!” I yelled as I glared at him.
“So you wanted me to feel remorseful and agree that it’s all my fault you treated me like crap and cheated on me so that you can be with Hailey without feeling any guilt?” I asked in disbelief.

“No, it’s not like that. I-” He started, but I turned around and started walking out of
the training center.
Blake followed me out of the building and
to my car.
As I tried to slam the car door shut, he held
onto the car door. His knuckles turned white as he tried to stop me from closing the door, but he was stubborn.
“I can scream that you’re trying to rape me even though you’re a well known Alpha.” I threatened him and he quickly let go.
He stared at me with a torn look on his face like his heart was breaking as I closed the door, started the car and drove away.
As I reached home, my phone started ringing and I checked it to see that it was Beta Neil, the Rising Moon pack‘ s Beta.
I answered the call and heard him ask,
“Have you heard the news?”

“What news?” I asked him as a confused
frown fell on my brows.
“After Alpha Blake posted about his infidelity on Facebook, the news spread like wildfire and the elders voted to strip him of his rank as Alpha. Then they made me Alpha.” He narrated in a steady voice.
“Woah! I had no idea. What about Hailey? What happened to her?” I asked, curiously.
He sighed as he answered me, “Even though Hailey used to show off that she was close to the Alpha, she was now humiliated as people threw insults at her for being a homewrecker. What she did dampened her reputation all over the pack territories.
She started drinking heavily and then got involved in a car accident which left her paralyzed from the waist down.”
So Blake had come looking for me because Hailey wasn’t available to cater to needs

anymore. He was so selfish! To think that
he came so far just to get me back. It was actually because Hailey was now useless to
him.
“That’s horrible.” I replied in shock.
“I know. I thought you would like to know what happened after you left.” He muttered in a soft voice.
Not wanting to waste my time on Blake, I decided to forget and trained harder everyday.
A few days later, I was throwing punches. and kicks in the air as I trained when I
heard a sad howl.
A sad howl meant that a werewolf was in pain and what probably happened was that it got wounded in an attack from rogues or another pack, so it was trying to warn us.
A sad howl sounded different than a happy howl which was usually heard when we were running with our pack, mate, family or friends.

After the sad howl, I heard Alpha Julius‘ s voice through mind link, “All warriors should prepare for us war and meet me in front of the pack house. We’re under attack.”
I immediately stopped training and rushed out of the training center. I ran towards the pack house which was only a few buildings away and spotted so many werewolves gathered around it with my heightened. werewolf sight.
Several growls erupted from all around us. just as I reached the pack house and joined the pack warriors that were standing around it.
Alpha Julius was standing amongst them and seemed to be talking to them, but when he heard the sound of growls from every direction, he stood frozen.
