“Good, have fun with her, I’ll be back by six, and we’ll leave for the event by six thirty,” Antonio told his mother as he placed a kiss on her cheek.

All Zabelle needed was to know that she was accepted into their family, so she wouldn’t think little of herself.
“You’re from the Pierce family, right?” Alicia inquired and Zabelle nodded. She didn’t bother to ask how the woman must have known, as she concluded that Antonio must have told his mother.
“Your family might have not treated you very well, but I can tell you that the same won’t happen with my family,” Alicta assured Zabelle
“And also, if my son is acting like a jerk, feel free to tell me, so I can take care of it,” Alicia added and Zabelle chuckled. It was a bitter chuckle, but Alicia was oblivious to that fact.
Zabelle wondered for the umpteenth time how someone like Alicia was Antonio’s mother.
The woman was nice and didn’t even bat an eye before welcoming her into the family, yet her son was out to destroy ber because of what happened within fifteen minutes in that darn elevator.

Zabelle couldn’t however lie that she didn’t enjoy the experience even though it was tiring as she never had the chance to go shopping with her mother.
“Zabelle honey, are you listening?” She broke out of her thoughts when she heard Alicia speak.

“Antonio said you two will leave for the event at six thirty, which means you’re running out of time to get ready.”
“Huh. We still have time,” Zabelle scrunched her face in confusion as she looked at the time. It was only three o’clock, and she still had at least three hours before they left. What was thie rush? She wondered.
“You were in a coma for a month. You need a full beauty treatment before they start getting you ready. The team is already up in your room. Come on, let’s go, Alicia urged Zabelle who grumbled.
