“I can’t do this anymore!” Zabelle whispered sharply in Antonio’s car as she walked away from him.
Her eyes scanned the large room for an empty table, and luckily, she found one not far from where she was standing.
She immediately walked towards it, not sparing Antonio another glance. The feeling that came with sitting down felt heavenly to Zabelle.
Thankfully, she was wearing her third wedding dress, which was the most comfortable.
She had been standing for hours in heels, and her legs felt like there were thousands of scorpions stinging her. Maybe she was exaggerating, but that was how she felt.
Tired was an understatement of how she felt, as she had been smiling and socializing for hours.
Now that she was a part of the Garcia family, everyone was trying to get acquainted with her.
Her throat felt dry, and her body was aching. She was starting to have a headache from having forced conversations with people.
Most of the people who congratulated them would engage her in a conversation, trying to get in her good books, and this annoyed Zabelle.
This same set of people wouldn’t have looked at the ground where she walked a few months ago.
She prayed that no one else would disturb her, as she was beyond tired, both mentally and physically.
“Ma’am, a drink,” one of the waiters offered her, and she stretched her hands to take it, but she withdrew it at the last
moment.
Her intrusive thoughts flooded her mind and she suspected that the drink was spiked.
“No, thank you,” she stated.
I was the one who asked him to give it to you,” she heard Alejandro’s voice, and when she turned to face him she saw a woman beside him.
Judging from the woman’s expression, she didn’t look like she was happy to be there and Zabelle wondered what the relationship dynamic was between the two as Alejandro had a playboy reputation.
“Having to pretend to want to talk to people must be tiring” he said as he took his seat opposite Zabelle.
“Hmm,” Zabelle agreed as she finally took the drink from the waiter.
“Aren’t you going to have a seat?” Zabelle finally spoke to the woman when she made no attempt to sit.
“No,” the woman answered, and she walked away to sit at another table.
“Ahh, okay?” Zabelle’s face contorted into a frown as she was confused by what had just happened.
“Ignore her, she’s a bit feisty. I made her attend the wedding,” Alejandro brushed nonchalantly, and she got further confused.
Why did it feel like Alejandro was following in Antonio’s footsteps? She wondered, but she didn’t ponder too much on it, as she had her own share of problems.
“So, finally, you are officially a part of the Garcia family. Let me formally welcome you.” Alejandro raised a toast to her.

“Thank you,” Zabelle smiled as she glanced at Antonio, who was occupied with the Governor.
“You know, I should play a prank to kick off a family tradition,” he smirked and Zabelle glared at him.
“If you want to do that, why not get married and play the prank on your wife,” she suggested.
Alejandro, who was drinking at that exact moment, almost choked when he heard Zabelle’s words.
“Marriage is not for me, and so we won’t be having another wedding in the family anytime soon,” he told her.
Zabelle rolled her eyes at Alejandro’s words. “So, do you plan on being a playboy all your life?” She asked.
“Of course. It’s really fun being one,” Alejandro said excitedly. “Plus, women are too much drama.”
“You do realize that you’re sitting in front of one,” she raised an eyebrow.
“Cheers to that,” Alejandro toasted once more.
“Your friend is trying to leave the party, by the way,” she informed him, and Alejandro turned.
“Ah, see what I mean, drama,” he rolled his eyes as he got up and left.

As Alejandro walked away, she saw Antonio walking towards her. When he got to where she was, he slumped onto the chair and immediately poured himself a glass from the bottle of alcohol that was on the table.
“Did you drink?” He squinted his eyes at the empty glass in front of her.
“It was non–alcoholic, Alejandro gave it to me,” she told him.
“Good. Drinking isn’t for you,” Antonio remarked as he gulped down the glass.
“Aren’t you continuing the conversation with the Governor?” She asked him.
“I hate talking to people!” Antonio inhaled sharply and Zabelle stifled a smile as she could imagine how it was for him to put up with everyone.

Her eyes suddenly fell on his wedding ring, and her heart skipped a beat as she remembered putting it on as she said her
VOWS.
“Come, let’s leave,” Antonio said out of the blue.
“We can’t leave our wedding party, people will talk, Antonio,” Zabelle pointed out.
“This is why I say we’re compatible. You care about what other people think, and I couldn’t give two shits about it!” Antonio stated as he got up from his seat and picked her bridal style.
This immediately gained the attention of the guests, and some of them even began to take pictures of the beautiful scene in front of them.
After all, it wasn’t everyday they saw a new side of Antonio.
“Put me down, there are people watching!” Zabelle silently screamed.
“Ask me once more, and I’ll kiss you right here in front of the people you’re so afraid of,” he warned, and Zabelle immediately zipped her mouth shut.
“That’s like a good wife” Antonio praised as he carried her out of the room and out of the building.
Zabelle saw that his guards were already waiting for them, and she wondered why they were this much,

“Where are we going?” she asked after Antonio placed her down on the seat of the car.
“We are going to the hangar so we can go on our honeymoon,” Antonio answered, and his answer made her frown.
The marriage wasn’t a real one and they both knew that, so why were they going on honeymoon.
“Why…” she started, but Antonio spoke, cutting her short.
“If we don’t go, we might as well be telling the whole world, especially my mother, of the actual relationship dynamic between us,” Antonio stated as he knew what she had been about to ask.
“Oh,” Zabelle mumbled. “Where are we going?” She inquired.
“One of my islands,” Antonio responded, and Zabelle had to do a double take to make sure that she had heard right.
Did he just say he had an island and that it was one of the islands he owned? How many did he own?
“What exactly is your net worth?” She couldn’t help but question as she had a feeling what she saw online wasn’t the actual figure but lesser.
“It’s getting harder to keep count,” was Antonio’s answer, and her mouth dropped open.
They arrived at the hangar about twenty minutes later, where Antonio’s private jet was waiting for them.
“Did you rent this or does it belong to him?” She asked and Antonio rolled her eyes. How did she graduate on top of her class with such a low EQ brain?
He was a billionaire, and she was still asking if he owned the jet. Not bothering to answer, he grabbed her hand and said, “Let’s go,” and with that, he led her into the jet.
As soon as she was seated without any worry of someone approaching her, she realized how extremely tired she was. After tucking the seatbelt in, she rested on the plane, and it didn’t take long for her to drift off to sleep.
“Gabriel, call Antonio. The wedding is finally over. Tell him to release Vanessa!” Lily urged her husband.
It had been a gruesome two weeks as she hadn’t seen her daughter nor did she know what condition she was in.
All efforts to find where Lucas had kept Vanessa were futile. As they were unable to find her.
They also couldn’t involve the police, as they didn’t want him to harm Vanessa. And so they were stuck waiting for him to fulfill his promise of releasing her after the wedding.
Gabriel grabbed his phone to call Antonio so he could fulfill his promise. However, the call didn’t get through, and Lily hissed in annoyance.
He had kept their daughter for long enough, and it was time to release her, so where the hell was Antonio, she asked herself. “We have no choice, but to wait for Antonio “Gabriel stated as he weaved his fingers through his hair roughly
The fact that Zabelle had gone ahead to marry Anthony even after everything he had said made Gabriel very, very upset. and he wanted to make his daughter pay for what she had done
Antonio
turned to look at the woman, who was fast asleep, oblivious to what was going on.

So many thoughts were–running through his head, and he sighed in an attempt to gather his thoughts.
Zabelle Garcia, the name rang in his head as he had done it, he had made Zabelle his wife.
His eyes went down to the ring on her finger; the one which was a symbol of their marriage.
A marriage which was fake as he didn’t care for Zabelle.
