Chapter 113
Jeremy leaned back in the chair, a smirk curling on his lips as he looked at the phone in his hand.
He had done it. He had planted the seed of doubt in both Zabelle’s and Antonio’s minds.
His fingers hovered over the screen for a moment as stared at the chat between him and Zabelle.
Even though she had blocked him, he knew her. She would be second–guessing everything now.
Antonio however needed more work as he wasn’t going to be easily manipulated.
Zabelle however was enough for now.
Perfect, he thought, satisfied. He had been careful, precise.
The cracks were there, ready to split open the trust they had in each other.
If only Zabelle would let her guard down long enough for him to exploit it further. But for now, he was content with the progress he’d made.
He had seen pictures of Zabelle and Antonio at the park earlier on.
One of the perks of being high profile, you couldn’t go anywhere without having cameras pointed at you.
This was an opening for him as they were in a public place and he decided to use it to his advantage as he headed straight to the park.
It wasn’t hard to find them as different people kept on posting about how romantic the couple were together and he had gotten close enough to them to overhear them talking about how the haunted house was going to be their last stop.
It was amazing what a bad wig, some fake moles and beards could do to conceal his identity.
All he did was tail them into the haunted house and wait for the perfect time to act.
From the doorway, Vanessa’s voice broke his thoughts. “So, what’s next?” she asked, a smirk on her lips

Jeremy’s grin widened. “Now, I create a way to make Zabelle’s doubt increase. Let’s hope my men can find some dirt on Antonio and as for you…” His eyes shone mischievously,
“I think it’s time for you to handle Antonio.”
“Way ahead of you. I know where he’ll be tonight,” she said. “He has a meeting at one of the hotel clubs, make sure your men are there to take the pictures.”
Vanessa then went into her closet and picked out a seductive dress.
She slipped into it, adjusting it until it hugged her frame perfectly.
Her hair and makeup had already been done and she made some finishing touches..
“I’ve waited long enough for this and I’m going to finish what I didn’t get to finish at the night of the gala,” she muttered to herself.
Jeremy gave her a sly look. “Just make sure you don’t get too caught up in your own game. We both know how that can end.”
He was indirectly referring to her getting kidnapped by Antonio’s men after playing a crucial role in kidnapping Zabelle.
Vanessa’s gaze hardened but she took a deep breath. “Don’t worry, I’ve learned my lesson.” Her men would be there to protect her if things went south hill
She grabbed her purse, heading toward the door. “I’ll be back soon and Antonio won’t know what hit him.”
As Vanessa left, Jeremy sat back, watching her go. He smiled to himself as things were finally going the way he wanted it.
Once his men were successful in digging up dirt on Antonio, he would use that to get to Zabelle and he would have her right where he wanted her.
