Would it be a wise idea to turn and run back up to the room or to brave it and face Antonio.
She didn’t get the chance to make that decision as Antonio looked at her his eyes immediately squinting at the sweater she was wearing.
“Good afternoon. I trust you slept well,” he smiled. “Also, isn’t that my sweater?”
“It is?” Zabelle feigned innocence as she looked down at the sweater. “I had no idea.”
“My name is printed on it,” Antonio pointed out.

It was a customized sweater which his mother had gotten made for him and so there was no way Zabelle didn’t know that it was his especially when it was on his section of the closet.
“Okay fine, I like the sweater, and so I wore it,” she came clean, and he chuckled which made her let out a sigh

“What are you even doing here anyway, aren’t you supposed to be at work?” She questioned as she slid onto the

“I decided to take the day off. One of the perks of being a CEO,” he grinned and Zabelle rolled her eyes. However, she wasn’t complaining, as she liked having him around. “Thanks for tucking me in last night. You didn’t have to.”
He shrugged, setting his phone down. “You were out cold. I wasn’t going to leave you like that.”
A comfortable silence fell between them as Zabelle poured herself a cup of coffee and began to drink it.
She noticed Antonio was watching her with an intent look, and it made her feel uneasy. “What?” she asked, raising an eyebrow.
“You’ve got that look,” he said vaguely.
“What look?”
“The ‘I want to say something but don’t know if I should say it‘ look,” he clarified.
Zabelle rolled her eyes, but she couldn’t deny it as it was true. “I’m just… wondering if you’re still feeling off. You seemed distracted last night. Plus did you even get any sleep at all?”
Antonio stiffened slightly, but he didn’t let it show. “You’re worrying too much. I told you, it’s just work and yes I did get sleep.”
More like thinking about her for hours and then dreaming about her when he had managed to fall sleep.
“Hmm.” Zabelle didn’t look convinced but decided not to push. Instead, she changed the subject. “So, what’s the plan for today?”
“I’ve had some meetings in the morning, but nothing too pressing this afternoon. Why?”
She hesitated, as she stared at the coffee cup between her hands. “I was thinking of going into town. There’s a new amusement park, and I was thinking of going there.”
“Amusement park?” He repeated and she nodded.
“Yes. I never got the chance to go in the past, but I have a lot of free time,” she said.
“Oh. Sure you can go, you didn’t need my permission for that,” he said.
“But things have been tense lately. I don’t think it’s a good idea for you to go out without someone watching your back. The guards will be with you.”
Zabelle frowned. “Tense how?”
“You’ve forgotten about Vanessa’s words yesterday,” he reminded her.
If it was up to him, he would ask her to stay home till the danger was averted, but he didn’t as he could see the excitement in her eyes as she talked about going to the amusement park.
“Oh, I forgot,” Zabelle said. “You’re right.” With the guards around, she would feel much more safe.
“Smart choice,” Antonio said with a smirk.

Chapter 109
They finished their coffee in silence and Zabelle had a simple lunch of toast before she went to get ready to leave.
She dressed in a simple outfit: jeans, a crop top, and boots, perfect for a casual day out.
Looking in the mirror, she decided to tie it up for the first time in a while.
Hmm, it had gotten longer now reaching her waist. She needed a haircut before she would turn into Rapunzel.
When she returned to the living room, Antonio was waiting by the door with his car key in hand. She saw that he had changed his clothes and her heart hitched.
“Wait,” she started, narrowing her eyes as she bit her lips to stop herself from smiling. “You’re coming with me?”
“Don’t look so surprised,” he said, opening the door. “I figured I could use a break, too. Plus, I’d be less worried if I’m with you.”
Zabelle finally broke into a smile as her insides felt warm and fuzzy.
Antonio cared about her to the point where he would worry if she wasn’t there.
“You made the right choice, we are going to have so much fun,” she said as she grabbed his hand and dragged him outside.
