Chapter 19
“What the fuck do you mean by I’m your fiancée?” she asked him as she got up from the bed. Sitting while he stood made her look small and she hated it. She was already small while standing beside him, sitting just made it worse.
“It means you’re going to be my wife,” Antonio responded, and belle clenched her fists in anger as he knew what her question meant.
“Why did you lie to your parents about me being your fiancée, Antonio?”
“Who said I was lying? We’re getting married,” Antonio stated, and Zabelle ran her finger through her hair roughly.
“Antonio, stop it. I’m not getting married to you. Go and tell your parents the truth!” she urged him.
Antonio chuckled, and he took a step closer to him, which made gulp. “Since you’re dumb and don’t understand, how about I explain? We’re getting married, Zabelle.” The fool knew exactly what he meant, but she was refusing to accept it.
The colour immediately drained from Zabelle’s face, and she shook her head in denial. There was just no way Antonio was
serious.
“Are you crazy?!” she flared up in anger. “I never agreed to marry you, and I’ll never agree,” she stated.
“Does it look like I care about what you want?” Antonio smiled. “We’re getting married whether you want it or not,” he told her.
Zabelle gradually came to terms with what he was saying, and she yelled internally at the predicament she was in.
Why did he want to force her to get married to him when he didn’t even like her?
Was it for revenge? Her eyes widened in horror. Of course, it had to be for revenge.
She had intended to use Jeremy as a shield, but now that Jeremy was gone, there was no one to protect her, which meant that Antonio could finally get his revenge on her.
No, she couldn’t allow him to have his way. She needed to find a way to run away from the devil she was staring at, as if she didn’t, he would make her life a living hell.
Maybe she should have just died that night. She thought to herself.
“You can’t force me to get married to you, Antonio. That’s not how the world works,” she persisted. All she needed to do was to find a phone and call the police on him.
“Are you going to call the police on me?” Antonio asked her, as he could tell that was what was running through her mind.
“What you’re doing is a fucking crime,” Zabelle cried out as she ran her finger through her hair roughly.
Antonio chuckled once more as Zabelle didn’t know half of the crimes he had committed. This was one of his lesser crimes.
“Okay,” he said as he dipped his hand in his pocket and brought out his phone. “Here you go, call them,” he unlocked it and stretched it towards Zabelle.
She squinted her eyes in suspicion, as it didn’t feel right for him to willingly give her the phone. Not knowing what he had in mind, she didn’t take the phone from him.
“Don’t you want to call the police anymore?” Antonio dared her
“You’re doing this for revenge, aren’t you,” Zabelle asked.

“Yes,” Antonio didn’t deny the truth. After all, where was the fun that?
“I’m not one of those women who want to get married to you, Antonio!”
“That’s why I want to get married to you,” Antonio told Zabelle.
“I’m not going to let you have your way, Antonio, even if it means killing myself,” she declared.

He took another step and Zabelle tried to back away as he was in her personal space, but that led to her falling on the bed. Antonio immediately hovered over her and she felt small.
“Even if you kill yourself, I’ll come to the depths of hell and drag you so you can become my wife,” Antonio promised her with an evil glint in his eyes. “Welcome to hell, love.”
Without waiting for a response from her, he turned and left the room. Zabelle immediately got up in an effort to follow him, but when she got to the door and tried to open it, she saw that it was locked.
“Open the door, Antonio!” She yelled as she banged the door. However, something in her told her he wouldn’t listen to her, and so she dropped to the floor. She had to find a way to escape
After Antonio left Zabelle’s room, he headed straight to his room, which wasn’t far from her room. When he got into his room, he found Alejandro seated on the sofa, patiently waiting for him.
“One of these days, I’m going to kill you for always barging into my house,” he told his brother as he headed into the closet so he could change his clothes.
When he stepped out, Alejandro was still in the same spot, and Antonio sighed as he knew what was coming. “You plan on marrying Zabelle?” Alejandro immediately fired at him.
“Yes, I do,” Antonio affirmed as he took his seat on the bed.
“Okay, you have to explain to me what the hell is going on in your mind. You hate the concept of marriage, and you always said, you wouldn’t ever get married, so what changed,” Alejandro questioned Antonio.
Even though the two of them weren’t alike when it came to a lot of things, they both had the same view on marriage and that was the fact that it wasn’t for them, even though it was for two different reasons.
His was because he wanted to continue to have fun without being tied to a woman, while Antonio considered marriage a burden he didn’t have time for.
“I want to use her as a pawn,” Antonio stated vaguely, and this further confused Alejandro.
“Why would you want to use her as a pawn?” He took one issue at a time.
“Vanessa and Jeremy are together. Now I know the asshole isn’t interested in settling down, but if he’s doing so, it’s because the two families are forming an alliance to try and take us down
“But we don’t need a pawn. We can take them down on our own Alejandro stated.
“True, but their first daughter getting married to their enemy won’t be included in their plan. The same goes for Jeremy. I’ll have some fun while watching them lose their minds,” Antonio grinned. “It’s like killing two birds with one stone.”
He decided to leave out the part of him using the marriage to get revenge on Zabelle as that was something between the two of them. Plus, he wasn’t ready to hear Alejandro’s disapproval.
“Is that all?” Alejandro, who however knew how Antonio was, asked.
“Yes,” Antonio lied.

“And Zabelle agreed to get married to you?” Alejandro squinted his eyes at Antonio as he still didn’t quite believe him.
“You’d be surprised at how beneficial I am to her,” Antonio smiled.
“But you hate each other. How the hell will you be able to live together?”
“The fact that we hate each other is the icing on the cake. I don’t have to worry about being forced to have a normal relations…” Antonio couldn’t complete his words as Alejandro’s phone rang.
“I have to go,” the latter stated as he checked the phone. “This conversation isn’t over,” he said before leaving the room.
“Too bad it is, Antonio muttered after the door closed.
