Chapter 45
What kind of parents ordered the kidnapping of their daughter. It was hard to wrap her head around it, and it hurt her just thinking about it.
“I’m fine now, you should free Vanessa?” She admonished him.
“No, I’m not going to release her, and they should be thankful I haven’t ordered for her death, Antonio said through gritted. teeth and his eyes darkened.
“Don’t, I don’t want you to kill for me. Zabelle shook her head.
“It’s too late for that as I’ve already done so.” Antonio reminded her of the men he had killed for her.
“Just release her so we can forget about the whole issue,” Zabelle sighed in resignation
“You know, you’re too forgiving which is why you’re perfect beside me because I’m not and so, I’m not releasing Vanessa until after the wedding, she needs to learn some life lessons!” He asserted.
The fact that Zabelle didn’t even think about getting revenge and was even demanding the release of the woman who had been instrumental in her kidnapping annoyed him..
The reason why the Pierce family had been to her till that point was because she couldn’t stand on her word for too long. Defend herself now and be forgiving in the next instant.
A normal person would have wanted revenge, especially after all the things they had done to her, but she didn’t.
Luckily, just as he said, he was the opposite of forgiving and whenever she refused to fight, he would do so on her behalf.
“Is there no changing your mind?” Zabelle tried her luck once again and he shook her head. “Will you at least promise not to be so hard on her?” She appealed.
“Fine, I’ll make that compromise.” he told her, and she took it just as she yawned.
The drugs were taking effect once more and she felt sleepy. “It’s time to get some rest,” Antonio told her as he made her lie
on the bed.
“Good night,” Zabelle wished him as she closed her eyes.
“Good night!” Antonio whispered as he turned off the lights and beaded out of the room.
As soon as he was out, he brought out his phone which had been vibrating in his pocket to see he had received messages from Gabriel
He read them and without wasting time, he went outside and hopped in his car so he could go see the man who had asked to see him.
He saw Gabriel and Lily standing outside their car the moment he crossed the gates of his mansion.
Parking his car, he got out and rested in his own car, waiting for Gabriel to approach him
“Where is my daughter?” Gabriel asked for the umpteenth times
“In a place where you’ll never find her,” Antonio finally dropped the pretence, and the next thing Gabriel dish was to point his gun at him.
Antonio yawned as he found the whole thing to be boring, wanting nothing more than to be in his room.

“Go ahead, what are you waiting for?” He mocked Zabelle’s father
Gabriel glared at him and a few seconds later, he retracted the gun.
“You already got your fiancee back, give me back my daughter he tried to cut a deal with Antonio.

“Tell me something, how did you think it would end when you ordered for my woman to be kidnapped or did you really think I’d leave her unattended even while not being there with her?”
“All I want is my daughter?” Gabriel refused to comment on Antonio’s questions.
“Hold on, I’m in a good mood, so I’ll grant your request!” Antorio stated as he brought out his phone. After tapping a few icons, he showed Gabriel a live view of Vanessa, who was tied up,
“Vanessa!” Lily exclaimed as she moved closer to them.
“How you treat Zabelle will determine how I’ll treat your daughter,” he didn’t care how they treated him but Zabelle who still craved her parents love.
Not that they would ever come to love her, but what he had done would at least force them to be cordial, that was if they were able to get close to Zabelle.
“You can go ahead and try to find her, I want to see if you’ll succeed,” he challenged them.
“So unless you’re going to shoot me right now, I suggest you get the hell out of my sight, or I’ll make your daughter disappear before you can even blink”
“Gabriel, let’s go!” Lily quickly urged, as she didn’t want to take any chances with her daughter’s life.
“This isn’t over!” Gabriel promised Antonio before turning and walking away.
Antonio made sure he saw them drive away before entering his car and driving back into his mansion.
“Sir, dinner?” Martha asked him as soon as he was in the house. He hadn’t eaten all day, and it wasn’t as though he even had dinner the previous night.
“I’m not hungry,” he told Martha, after which she headed up to his room to get some rest.
When morning came, Zabelle felt a whole lot better than the previous day as she was able to walk by herself. Walking into the bathroom, she splashed water on her face, after which she observed her reflection in the mirror.
Antonio was indeed right, she had gotten skinnier, but it wasn’t her fault as it didn’t come as a result of her skipping her meals. After that, she noticed that she was still pale and not liking what she saw, she proceeded to have her bath and got dressed.
Looking at the time, she saw that it was already after nine, and she wondered if Antonio had gone to the stice
As she stared at the bedside table distantly, she was reminded of the fact that she had lost the phone he gave to her, and a sad look appeared on her face.
Sighing in resignation, she got up and stepped outside her out of her room, Antonio stepped out of his.
TOOT to see if Antonio had gone to the office. Just as she stepped
“You’re finally up, he commented as he walked up to her. He had checked up on her earlier, but she was still asleep.
“Yes,” Zabelle nodded. “I feel better,” she informed him.
“I can see that.” “The fact that she was already walking on her own was proof enough of that.
