Chapter 164
The rich, intoxicating aroma of aged whiskey filled the dimly lit room as Cabriel leaned back in his leather chair, a glass of the finest liquor swirling lazily in his hand
The liquor was quite expensive, and the moment was worth opening it for as after what seemed like forever, he had finally scored a win.
He took a slow up, lening the warmth spread through him, savoring the moment.
Antonio Garcia was
done for. Even if by some miracle, he managed to get out of the case, the taint on his reputation would always stand.

‘s stock had crashed and there was no getting them back up
The television mounted on the wall played a live news broadcast, showing scenes outside the police station.
Reporters shouted questions, desperate for any comment. The words at the bottom of the screen read in bold red letters
BREAKING NEWS: ANTONIO GARCÍA ARRESTED MULTIPLE CHARGES PENDING
Gabriel chuckled, and he took another sip of his wine.
Antonio had so many enemies, it hadn’t even been necessary for him to get his hands dirty.
All he had to do was plant the seeds, whisper the right words in the right ears, and let the vultures come in to feast
as a pest they needed to get rid of

It wasn’t just one man who had framed Antonio and his family. They were multiple men, and so he wasn’t going to get out of this like the other

And everyone was helpful in ruining Antonio.
The media, as always, were like rabid dogs, foaming at the mouth for a scandal this big.
The public? The public had always been predictable. They never needed proof. Just a few well–placed accusations, some fabricated “evidence, and a couple of anonymous statements.
Gabriel took another sip, his lips curling into a smug smile.
The Garcia name was tarnished. Antonio’s reputation, his power, his influence–it was all crumbling.
The mighty CEO, the untouchable billionaire, was now a common criminal in the eyes of the world. And the best p

He never even had to lift a finger, so nothing would come back to him.
He leaned forward, resting his elbows on his desk, his fingers tapping lightly against the polished wood
“Antonio,” he murmured, “you’re just a child and should have never crossed me

His eyes flickered back to the screen, watching as the reporters now turned their attention to Zabelle
Ah, Zabelle, his darling daughter.
Just the other day, she had come and caused a scene at his house, forgetting her place.
Cabriel’s smirk widened. He could only imagine how devastated she must be, how shaken she was by watching the man she loved fall from grace.

It was only a matter of time bef

She would be reminded of the fact that before Antonio she was a nobody and now that he would be gone for a long time, she would come off her
And speaking of people who wanted Antonio gone, there was another person who was about to do his part in getting Zabelle away from Antonio and back to them.
A sharp knock on the door made Gabriel glance up, and he smiled as the person had arrived
“Come in,” he said. The door immediately using open, and Jeremy stepped inside.
The latter’s face was practically glowing with excitement, as though he had been handed an early Christmas present,
Tassume y
you’ve seen the news?” Jeremy grinned, sliding into the seat across from Gabriel without invitation.
Ever since Antonio outsmarted Vanessa and caused her to sleep with a waiter, he had decided to lay low especially as
lly as his fa
father made sure of i
In the old man’s words, they had bigger things to focus on like their company, but he wasn’t dumb, and he knew Antonio’s father did something.
Gabriel poured himself another drink, his lips curling. “Oh, I’ve more than seen it. I orchestrated it.”
Jeremy let out a low whistle, as he was impressed. “I have to admit, I didn’t think it would be this easy to take him down”
“Antonio was arrogant. Untouchable. Or so he thought Gabriel smirked, and he took a slow sip, savouring the taste of victory.
“Men like him make enemies faster than they make money. I only had to remind those enemies that Antonio wasn’t as invincible as he seemed,”
Jeremy leaned forward, his excitement barely contained. “And now that he’s out of the picture Zabelle will finally see reason.”
“You’ve been utterly useless with Vanessa,” Gabriel hissed, and Jeremy scratched the back of his head.
“But you’re not so useless when it co
comes to Zabelle. You still think you have a chance with her?”
Jeremy scoffed. “Of course I do. She’s vulnerable. Devastated. I just have to be there at the right time, say the right things. And with Antonio’s reputation in the gutter, I won’t even have to convince her to leave him.”
Gabriel chuckled, amused by the younger man’s confidence.
“And if she refuses?” Gabriel asked, taking another sip.
Jeremy’s jaw clenched, but his smirk never wavered. “She won’t. Not when I remind her what a monster Antonio really is. And if she does resist… Well, there are always other ways to handle that.”
Gabriel studied Jeremy for a moment, his gaze sharp Ambition. Greed. Desperation. All the things that made people dangerous.
It was entertaining, really. Watching fools like Jeremy think they were playing the game when they were just another pawn on the board.
Once he managed to get Zabelle away from Antonio, he would destroy him for fumbling Vanessa
“I look forward to seeing how this plays out Gabriel leaned back, swirling the liquid in his glass.
“Oh, don’t worry. By the time I’m done, Zabelle won’t even remember Antonio’s name.”
Gabriel laughed, raising his glass in cheers
Let the game
continue.
