Chapter 4
“Get some rest. I’ve prepared a surprise for you. It’ll arrive on the wedding day you’ll definitely like it.”
But I knew this act wasn’t for Tatum.
It was for me.
He had been putting on this deep affection for five years.
Now, it was time for it to end.
For the next two days, I didn’t return home.
Dylan didn’t go back either.
He was busy preparing for the wedding.
Handling everything personally.
On the morning of the wedding, I called him.
He was too busy giving instructions to his assistant to pay attention to me.
“President Owen, are you sure you want to transfer half of the company’s shares to Miss Lee? She’s not part of the Owen family. Isn’t that too risky?”
“Do as I said. Half of it is compensation I promised her. The other half is for my child.”
“You personally receive the wedding guests. Be careful in case the Lawrance family comes to cause trouble.”
Only after the assistant left did Dylan remember my call.
“Late–late? Sorry to keep you waiting. The wedding is about to start. I’ll come back to you as soon as it’s over, so don’t be upset.”
I looked at the plane ticket in my
and, expressionless.
“Then I won’t disturb you.
Dylan, congratulations on your wedding.”
He paused for a second, then laughed.
“It’s our wedding. Wait for me at home like a good girl.”
After hanging up, I turned and boarded the plane.
When I received a message confirming my documents had been deactivated, I deleted all of his contact information.
The wedding began.
Dylan kept replaying that call in his mind, an uneas
He turned to his assistant and instructed,
creeping over him.
“Find out where Junie is. If I’m marrying someone
she’ll definitely cause trouble.”
As the ceremony ended, Dylan held Tatum’s hand, toasting the guests one by one.
His assistant rushed over, face pale.
“Bad news, President Owen! Miss Lawrance left this morning on a flight… That plane just crashed into the ocean!”
The entire wedding hall fell silent.

Chapter 4
The joy and excitement on Dylan’s fare instarely drained away.
The wine glass dipped from lus band, shattering on the floor.
But he didn’t care about the so called dignity of the twen family.
He grabbed his assim by the collar, eyes burring with rage.
“We did you say? Say it again
“Where is Jarde**
Tam tried to pull him bark, bey voice gentle with concern.
“Dylan, don’t be impodove. Everyone is watching. Your parents are here too–let’s talk about this later, okay?”
“Dyles”
Hearing her soft voice, Dylan found that, for the first time, he couldn’t remain calm like he used to.
He book off Terum’s hand and dragged his assistant to a secluded corner.
“What happened to June? She was supposed to be waiting for me at home! We even spoke this morning–she promised me!”
Perhaps due to his emotions, Dylan himself didn’t notice the tremor in his voice.
He didn’t even understand why he was so shaken
But the moment he heard something had happened to me, he completely lost control.
His assistant panicked and quickly showed him the news of the plane crash on his phone.
“Miss Lawrance was indeed on that flight. I just found out. The Owen family was short on staff for the wedding, so all the servants from the villa were sent to the hotel No one was there to look after her…”
“Talready checked her flight records. It’s confirmed–she was on that plane.”
I also reviewed the villa’s surveillance. She left two nights ago–the night you brought Miss Lee home…”
The grip on his assistant’s collar loosened.
For the first time, Dylan was consumed by an overwhelming sense of helplessness.
He didn’t even have the strength to stand.
After a long pause, he murmured,
“No. She promised me. She said she’d wait for me at home. She even wished us a happy wedding…”
“No. No, wait. She said, ‘Congratulations on your wedding with Tatum…“”
His voice was so faint that his assistant barely heard him.
Sensing something was wrong, the assistant hesitated.
“President Owen Did Miss Lawrance find out about something you did?”
“Otherwise, given her condition, she wouldn’t have left at a time like this!”
“If that’s the case, then…”
He didn’t finish his sentence.
But Dylan had already foreseen the answer.
He refused to believe the cold, cruel truth staring him in the face.

He chose denial.
“No, impossible. She wouldn’t have found out. If she knew something, she would have confronted me immediately but the wine p didn’t even message me in the past two days.”
“I explained everything to her about the wedding. She didn’t blame me!”
“She wouldn’t just leave like this–I won’t allow it!”
“Find her. Search every corner of the earth until you do!”
“Dead or alive, I must see her with my own eyes!”
His final words were shouted with every ounce of his strength.
