Chapter 2
To maintain his dominance as lead Alpisa across the Northern Territories, to solidify his alliance with the rival Moon Shadow Pack’s heiress–Tiberius deliberately sacrificed the lives growing within me.
My two subsequent pregnancies became nothing but collateral damage in his ruthless climb to power.
For twelve years, Tiberius built his reputation as the region’s most feared and respected Alpha by walking over the broken remains of our unborn pups.
He erected small memorial stones for them in a hidden grove. Each time he mentioned them, he would pull me against his chest with practiced sorrow in his eyes.
“Giselle,” he would murmur against my hair, “I will never forget our three lost pups. I swear to you, when you conceive again, I’ll tear apart anyone who threatens that pregnancy. We’ll welcome that child safely into our pack!”
But fate had carved a different path.
There would never be a next time.
The pack healer confirmed the three forced miscarriages had permanently damaged my reproductive system. My womb would never again nurture new life.
When Tiberius first heard this devastating verdict, he appeared genuinely shaken, his eyes reflecting what I naively believed was authentic grief. He held me close that night.
He whispered promises that if I couldn’t bear children, we would face a childless future together.
After learning of my condition, the former Alpha and Luna–his parents–began relentlessly pressuring him to break our bond. They cornered me repeatedly in the pack house, insisting I “think of the bloodline” and step aside gracefully.
I peeled his fingers from my wrist one by one, my expression unnervingly composed despite my splintering heart.
“Tiberius, you’ve always honored pack hierarchy. Don’t challenge your parents for me. I accept what must happen. Our bond is finished.”
I left a formal separation declaration on our bed and drove my Jeep down the mountain road, determined to start a new life away from Silver Crescent territory.
It was Tiberius who tracked me for two hundred miles, who lifted me from my vehicle with frantic tenderness, who begged through barely contained howls for me not to abandon him.

„ALPHA’S ENDLESS REGRET: After The Barren Luna’s Leäve
Chapter 2
That night after bringing me home, he knelt before his parents with a silver blade pressed against his throat, his eyes burning crimson with rage and desperation.
“Giselle is my mate until death,” he snarled. “Her infertility is by my hand alone. If you force her from this pack, you’ll watch your only son bleed out where I kneel!”
As the blade cut deeper into his flesh, drawing a crimson line across his throat….
The former Luna collapsed in horror while the old Alpha quickly yielded, vowing never to challenge our bond again.
I truly believed they had accepted our fate.
I was wrong.
Months later, they secretly brought the beautiful Lilith Morgana to the isolated cabin at the edge of our
territory.
Finally, I understood the pitying glances and stifled snickers at inter–pack gatherings when others would comment on our supposedly unbreakable bond.
Every wolf in three territories knew he was keeping another she–wolf.
Every wolf except me.
