Chapter 4
Tiberius’s eyes hardened as the light in them vanished completely. With a contents wear, he snatched the separation papers and fore them into confer
“Stop this ridiculous tantrum, Giselle
“Every pack from here to the Coastal Territories knows you’re my claimed mate, marked under a full moon with the entire Silver Crescent as witness. If our bond is officially broken, what exactly happens to you?”
“Which Alpha would even consider taking damaged goods–a rejected Luna–as their mater
Tiberius turned away dismissively, lifting Lilith’s three year old daughter with practiced ease taking their five year–old son’s hand as he stalked toward the door.
At the threshold, he fired one last penetrating glance over his shoulder.
“Take some time to think clearly, Giselle. When you’ve recovered your sanity, I’ll bring Lilith to formally acknowledge your position. You’re still Silver Crescent’s Luna–for now.”
Tiberius deliberately guided his parents out alongside him.
The former Luna–his mother–curled her lip and spat viciously in my direction before leaving.
“A barren bitch who can’t even whelp, yet making such demands. If my son hadn’t been so blindly obsessed with you back then, you’d have been driven from our territory years ago. The audacity to think you have any right to dictate terms now!”
The moment the heavy door slammed shut, my strength finally abandoned me. I crumpled to the hardwood floor, my legs buckling beneath me.
When my beta assistant entered later, she rushed forward with a gasp. “Luna! The temperature’s dropped–why are you huddled on the floor?”
She quickly dragged over a portable heater, cranking it to maximum.
In my vacant state, my hand drifted dangerously close to the glowing coils. Had she not yanked me back, my skin would have been charred to the bone.
Her eyes glistened with unshed tears. “Luna, even if the Alpha has betrayed you, this isn’t the answer.”
“Seeing you like this… it’s killing me!”

She carefully applied burn cream to my reddened skin, but I just stared at my throbbing hand with hollow detachment, feeling nothing beyond the numbness spreading through my chest.
‘Autumn, bring me the jade medallion from the silver box in my nightstand drawer.
That medallion was a blood debt token from the Moon Shadow Pack’s Alpha female.
Years ago, I deliberately miscarried my pup to help her and her mate seize control of their territory from a coalition of rival packs.
As payment for this ultimate sacrifice, they gifted me this blood token with an unbreakable vow–they would grant me any single request, regardless of consequences.
I never imagined I’d need to use it.
But now, only the Moon Shadow Alpha held enough power to help me.
When I told her I was cashing in my blood debt for nothing more than formal mate–separation documents, her clawed hand froze mid–air, crystal tumbler suspended.
“Giselle, consider what you’re asking. You and Tiberius have survived hell together.”
“During the Great Northern War, he nearly died defending your shared territory. He even recorded his death howl. Yet even facing death, you never once considered breaking your bond.”
“Now that Silver Crescent finally has stability, is this truly about your inability to bear pups? I’ve carried guilt about that incident for years. If you’re both willing, I could arrange for orphaned cubs to be placed in your care. You could raise them as your own bloodline…”
The Moon Shadow Alpha’s offer was genuinely compassionate, but I could only
smile.
respond with an empty
“I appreciate your concern.”
“But the Tiberius I mated beneath the blood moon died long ago. The wolf wearing his skin now has a fertile mate at his side and healthy offspring carrying his bloodline. My purpose has ended.”
After a weighted silence, she exhaled slowly, her amber eyes reflecting understanding of my shattered
heart.
She signaled her enforcer to prepare the formal severance decree. Just as the document touched my fingertips, a thunderous voice reverberated through the chamber’s heavy doors.
“Alpha Katrina, Silver Crescent’s Alpha Tiberius Dorian demands immediate audience!”
