I was still taking my medication and focusing on my recovery when a new post about me exploded on the school forum. One picture showed me struggling with a middle–aged man near a hotel, and another showed me getting out of Ulric’s Porsche. The faces weren’t visible, but mine was clearly identifiable.
The post came with a long caption that completely degraded me. The comments were brutal. They accused me of being shameless and doing anything for money.
As I scrolled further, I found another picture of me eating fruit at the welcome party, dressed simply. The caption even claimed that I was so poor I couldn’t afford fruit, and that I was selling myself for money.

I glanced at Liora, who was admiring her fancy nails.
Jora even suggested we buy fake accounts to bury the post, but before we could act, the teacher caught wind of it.

“It’s all lies. Someone’s deliberately spreading rumors,” I shot back.
“The photos are all over the forum. It’s a clear fact. If you didn’t do it, who would spread rumors about you? And Liora here says you’re always on the phone with multiple men in the dorms, that you’re so beautiful and using your body for money. You’re really ruining the atmosphere here,” the teacher adjusted her glasses and rolled her eyes several times.
“Teacher, you’re being a little harsh. Aren’t you supposed to set an example? Would you say such things to a student?” I challenged.

you respond with ten? Fine, bring your parents here,” she snapped.
“My parents are abroad and don’t have time,” I replied, my voice steady despite the tension.
“Then bring a relative,” the teacher insisted, jabbing her finger at the desk so hard her glasses slid crookedly down her nose in
anger.
Who could I bring? My brother was probably off somewhere causing trouble.
I dialed his number, fully expecting to be sent to voicemail, but to my surprise, he actually picked up.
I quickly explained the situation, and he promised to come right away.

The teacher was still spewing her harsh words, but I chose to ignore her, standing off to the side. Liora, meanwhile, was still showering the teacher with compliments and flattering remarks.

was about to offer him a seat, but he slipped his arm around my shoulders and pulled me toward him.
“I’m here to clarify that I’m the owner of the Porsche, Ulric said with a pointed tone. “And just so we’re clear, I drove my girlfriend here from class. Do you have a problem with that?”
The teacher adjusted her glasses again and spoke with a hint of uncertainty, “Of course not.”
“You really don’t have to do this,” I whispered to Ulric, still leaning against him. “My brother will be here soon, and if my parents find out I’m dating, they’ll fly back and kill me.”
I tugged at Ulric’s shirt hem, signaling him to let go.

Ulric raised an eyebrow, silently asking, Is being an adult and dating really considered ‘too young‘?
I nodded firmly, silently urging him to leave.
Ulric seemed to get it. He glanced at the teacher before squeezing my hand gently, offering me a reassuring smile as he stepped back.
