Chapter 2
When I had just graduated from college, I came to Alpha Group for a job interview through a friend’s recommendation.
The first time I saw Alpha Dulcea, he was the interviewer for that quarter’s recruitment. He sat quietly at the desk, his presence commanding yet composed. His eyes were deep and captivating, exuding an aura of calm authority. His lips were slightly tinted pink, adding to his striking look.
At that time, I had no idea about the connection between him and Dubel.
After I successfully joined the company as an intern, he unexpectedly became my direct supervisor. He seemed to take a special interest in me. I wasn’t exactly the life of

the party–more of an introvert who kept to herself, focused on my work and rarely spoke unless necessary.
On many late nights when I was still working, I’d find a cup of coffee or a late–night snack ⚫ on my desk. Sometimes there would even be a small note attached: “You’ve worked hard, but remember to take care of yourself.” It was always signed by him.
His attention made me wonder–was he interested in me?
One night, I was working past midnight. He came out of his office, stood beside my desk, and lightly tapped his fingers on the table, creating a soft, rhythmic sound.
I looked up quickly, and to my surprise, he was holding two plates–one with steak and the other with pasta.

He spoke gently, “It’s getting late, and I’m sure you’re hungry. I grabbed this downstairs. I’m not sure if you’ll like it, but I thought you might want something.”
⚫ He smiled, and the light above him bathed his face, giving him a soft, almost ethereal look. For a moment, I wasn’t sure how to respond. I shook my head quickly, signaling that I wasn’t hungry.
But just then, my stomach betrayed me, growling audibly. My face turned bright red, and I nodded sheepishly.
I made some room for him at my desk, and we shared our first meal together.
“Got a lot left to do?” he asked, noticing me eating the pasta while his gaze lingered on my face. I froze, suddenly feeling

self–conscious.
I awkwardly replied, “Not much. I wasn’t familiar with these procedures at first, but I’m getting the hang of it now. It’s going faster.”
I touched my face, feeling the heat of my embarrassment.
I couldn’t bring myself to meet his eyes.
He chuckled softly. “I can help you finish up. And if you need anything, don’t hesitate to ask.”
Having been single my entire life, I didn’t know much about romantic relationships. But little by little, my heart started racing uncontrollably whenever he was near. Late–night overtime wasn’t a burden
anymore.

I began to look forward to seeing him every day. His every approach made my heart flutter with a mix of excitement and anxiety.
Things seemed to be moving quickly. At the end of my three–month internship, I was offered a full–time position, and we officially confirmed our relationship.
My colleagues were envious, saying I had the best of both worlds–success in love and in my career.
I always thought things would continue like this, that we’d follow the usual path- meeting each other’s parents, celebrating milestones.
But everything changed the moment Dubel- the man whose name alone sent chills down my spine–reappeared in my life…

Six months later, a new employee joined the company. I heard she was stunning.
Alpha Dulcea told me she was his “white moonlight“-a term I later learned meant ⚫ someone he had a past with. Their families had been business partners for years, and now Silver Moon Pack was sending her back.
“Coincidentally, she’s coming back tonight. We can all have dinner together,” he said casually.
I felt a flutter of nerves, almost as if I were about to meet his parents. My mind raced with endless scenarios of our first
encounter.
That evening, when the restaurant door swung open, a breathtaking woman walked

She was fashionable. Noble.
