Regret filled their hearts. If only they had known Cassandra’s biological parents were so wealthy, they would have treated her well from the start. They scolded Samuel for not cherishing Cassandra, blaming him for letting go of such a “gold mine.”

As night fell, Samuel and his parents arrived at Cassandra’s villa. Calling it a villa was an underestimation; it was more like a manor.<
Ariel, in particular, was starry–eyed. “Sam, I raised Cassie myself. She has the softest heart, you just have to say the right words! Good thing I had the foresight to adopt her back then. She turned out to be a real treasure. Women are easy to coax. Just sweet–talk her, and once she comes back, both Hurricane Group and this manor will be ours.”
Samuel remained silent. His parents had no idea Cassandra had loved the wrong person all these years and he was too embarrassed to bring it up. He didn’t know why Cassandra had invited them all, but he knew this was his only chance to seek her forgiveness.[
After twelve years of affection, he couldn’t believe Cassandra could forget so quickly. The three of them entered the estate, where the butler led them to the grand hall. It was no exaggeration to say that Hathern’s elite and high society were in attendance.[
However, Samuel spotted a familiar figure among the crowd – Francesca Stewart. His mother also saw that woman and her expression darkened instantly. “What is she doing here? If Cassie sees her, she’ll be furious! Samuel, get rid of her right now!”
Samuel didn’t need the reminder. He was already striding over to Francesca, grabbing her by the wrist, and pulling her into a secluded corner. “Francesca, why are you here? I warned you to stay away from me!”
Francesca looked at him innocently. “Samuel, I was invited. You’re misunderstanding me.”
“If you don’t believe me, look, this is my invitation.” She pulled out an official–looking invitation card.
Samuel’s face turned even uglier. It really was an invitation from Hurricane Group. There was no doubt that Cassandra had deliberately sent it, but why would she do this?
Before he could figure it out, a commotion erupted in the hall. “Look, the president of Hurricane Group is here! But who’s the woman beside him?“%
“She’s stunning! Her necklace and gown are all high–end designer pieces. That jade bracelet on her wrist, it’s worth at least ten million!“%
“Oh my god, that’s insane. Only the Nolans’s patriarch could afford that kind of extravagance.”
“Just how powerful is Hurricane Group? They’re even wealthier than we thought!”
