Enzo hasn’t stopped to amaze me since the two weeks that I came back here, and it’s so annoying the shit out of me. I was used to him being a jerk. and acting up now was getting under my skin. It was disgusting especially knowing that he was the same man who treated me like a piece of trash in the past and even got another woman pregnant.
Well, I haven’t seen Amber since I came back, and I didn’t want to set eyes on her because I could kill her, All I wanted was to birth my child quietly. and find a way around this whole bullshit.

I rolled my eyes when I walked inside the living room and saw Enzo already waiting for me with his car keys in his hand. He had been trying to be there for me,
and I never failed to rub it on his face that I didn’t need him at every chance I got

The drive to the hospital was super boring, and the traffic congestion on the road made it worse, but I was glad we made it to the hospital. regardless.
“Everything is fine. You have nothing to worry about After the doctor was done testing me, he turned to us with a smile on his face, and I could swear I heard Enzo sigh in relief.
“The medicines you were given the last time that you were here. Are you still using them?” The doctor inquired, and I nodded as I muttered a “yes“.
After we were done at the hospital, I left before Enzo since he was talking to the doctor. I would’ve boarded a cab home if I wasn’t tired and feeling a bit weak, so I had to wait for him in the car.
“Are you alright, Lyra?” He looked at me worriedly when he hopped inside the car and saw me closing my eyes.
“Hmm” I just hummed without opening my eyes to look at him
“Are you sure you are fine?” He asked again, but this time, I ignored him. For fuck’s sake, I already told him that I was fine, so why was he stressing
me out!
He knew best to just start the car and drive home silently, and when he pulled over at the parking lot minutes later, I alighted from the car and proceeded into the house
“You are home, ma….” Claudia welcomed me with a smile. She was in the living room when I walked inside.
“Yes. Please get me a glass of orange juice. I’ll be inside my room.” I told her before leaving.
Five minutes passed before a knock came on the door, and I ushered Claudia in. However, Enzo walked in instead, holding a glass of orange juice,
“You asked to bring you this.” He said, handing it to me.
“Thank you.” I muttered as I held out my hand to take it from him. I barely held it when he removed his hand, and the glass crashed on the floor, breaking into pieces. Sorry, I did it intentionally.
“Oops! It fell” I raised my eyebrows, shrugging
“Are you alright?” Again, Enzo didn’t scold me like he would always do. I remember when I mistakenly broke a glass back then when we were still in the parkhouse. He scolded me so much that I thought maybe I broke something so expensive and important.
“Did it injure you?” He closed the distance between us and quickly held my hand, but I yanked it off, scowling at him.
“I told you to stop fucking touching me, Enzo!” I reminded him, and he let out a sigh.
“I’m doing my best, Lyra. In trying to make it up to you. Can you stop being like this, please Frustration I scoffed

“Is it the fact that you cheated on me with another woman? Is it how you allowed every member of the pack to bully me without ever defending me? Is it how you made me suffer for no good reason!” But I didn’t say those words to him even as I desperately wanted to. It wasn’t worth it, anyway. He knew everything he did, so there was no point reminding him.
“I just want to be there for you. For our child. I just want to be a supportive husband.” He said frustratingly, and I huffed.
“You want to be there for me! For our child? A supportive husband? Well, sorry to tell you the truth, but I don’t need you. Myself, and the baby inside me, we don’t fucking need you! Just let me go. Enzo! Let me go!” I yelled at the top of my lungs
“A supportive husband!” I repeated again because that was ridiculous and as well hilarious, coming from him.
*Screw that. Enzo. I don’t need your support, and I do not see you as my husband!” I yelled at him.
The pain in his eyes as I said those words to him was so satisfying. Who cares how he feels!
1 had turned to go to the bathroom when he said. “There was nothing between Amber and I. His stupid confession or whatever it was, made me stop on my track as I let out a scoff. What does he think? That he was talking to a stupid fellow?

I paced briefly, raking my fingers through my hair as I kept huffing at every passing second. How the fuck could he look at me and lie to my face that there was nothing between them! The fact that he cheated wasn’t as annoying as thinking that I’m so dumb to believe that bullshit he told me. Is he being serious right now!
