I clenched my jaw tightly after waiting for Alpha Enzo’s text for ten minutes and didn’t get it.
My heart wrenched painfully as I clutched my fingers tightly around my phone, biting into my lips. I didn’t know if I should blame myself for not being able to win his heart even after that bitch left, or if his heart is just too strong to be won.
“You are mine. Alpha. I won’t ever give you up to any woman,” Imuttered, tossing my phone away.
My attention was drawn to the knock on my door, and I went to open it, revealing my best friend, Kyle Parker.
“Hey!” He had that usual cute smile on his face as he brought forth the hand he had been hiding behind him, handing me a beautiful red rose Blower that had me rolling my eyes as I chuckled.
“What’s with this, huh?” I took the flower from him and sniffled it while closing my eyes, and looking at him, I said. “Thank you. I love it.”
Kyle’s face brightened up with a proud smile.

I went to join Kyle outside when I was done, and we left for the mall to go shop for clothes. He drove me in his car
“We haven’t seen each other in a while. How have you been!” He glanced at me, a smile on his face as he drove on the road.
“I’ve been busy going from meeting to meeting, and it’s been one hell of a stressful time for me.” I complained, groaning
“Sorry about that. Do you want to go on a date with me tonight!”
I looked at him and scoffed
“Yeah.. a friendly date.” He added, and 1 mouthed an “oh as I rolled my eyes.
“It would’ve been lovely, but not today. I got plans today. I’m attending a function with the Alpha” I could swear on anything that I saw a flicker of anger and jealousy in his eyes for a second when I said that. I didn’t know why he was being like that, and not that I was bothered about it anyway
“Oh.” He slowly nodded.
We chit–chatted until we got to the shopping mall, and we went to the clothes section to pick out some clothes.
“Take anything. Bills on me.” He winked at me, and I raised my eyebrows.
“That’s lovely. Thank you, but you don’t have to. I’m going to get it with the company’s card” I smiled at him.
“You can get it with the company’s card, and get extra with mine. In that fine with you?” He sucked his hands inside his pockets, raising an eyebrow, and I didn’t have a choice since he insisted
Kyle kept throwing different beautiful and classy clotlars in the cart as he moved it along the clothes shelves.
“This is fine. Kyle. I’m not going to start up a boutique.” I told him as he kept adding more, but he didn’t listen to me until he could barely move the cart, and that was when he thought it was really okay.

“Why not buy the whole mall, huh?” I teased him, and he chuckled

“Do you want the whole mall! I wouldn’t mind buying it for you if you really want it, you knooe?” A smirk spread across his face as he gazeil into my eyes, and I shook my head. For a second, I wished those words came from the Alpha instead. I would’ve been so over the moon.
“Don’t be silly” I smacked his head teasingly, and we both laughed.
After we were done making the payment, Kyle and I took the clothes to the trunk of his car. Did I mention that he bought shoes for every single cloth he bought for me? Well, he did. Almost every single werewolves in Ember pack are wealthy, and Kyle wasn’t an exemption. Alpha Enzo made sure of that. He wasn’t a greedy Alpha who puts humselt over every other thing, not an Alpha who didn’t have the interest of his pack members at heart. The main reason he won my heart for many years and I haven’t been able to love any other man aside from him.
I was about to hop inside the car when my phone buzzed, so I paused and brought it out of my bag. I quickly went ahead to open the text I just got when I saw that it was from Oliver, the dude I asked to tail Alpha Enzo,
My jaw dropped to the ground and my heart sank into my stomach when I opened the message. Displaying on the screen of my phone, was a picture of Alpha Enzo and that bitch, Lyra, going into and leaving the hospital, and other pictures of them together. She was heavily pregnant
