My attention was drawn to the gentle knock on my door, taking my attention away from my phone which I’ve been scrolling through for what was not lost.

“Alright. I’ll be there shortly.” I put my phone away and changed into a fitting cloth since I was still wearing my robe after I bathed. Once I was done, 1 threw my hair up in a ponytail before leaving the room.

However, I was welcomed by the most disgusting person in the whole universe. It was Amber Quinns, my husband’s bitchy mistress. Oh, he claimed there was nothing between them, but I would be a fool to believe him, yeah!
She stood up, her eyes filled with rage as she glared hard at me
“It’s you!” I raised my eyebrows, then looked down at her flat stomach, letting out a scoff. Did she have a miscarriage or was she really never pregnant!
“Leave us, Claudia” I looked at Claudia, dismissing her.
“Are you sure about this, my lady?” She asked with concern on her face, and I gave her a liute smile, nodding my head
After Claudia left, I turned to Amber who was still on her feet. My blood boiled in rage, my heart wrenched painfully when memories of months. ago replayed in my head. How Enzo hurt ne emotionally because of this bitch, and he dared tell me that there was never anything between them? He must think that I’m stupid.
“It’s been a while. Amber.” I smirked, going to sit on the couch across from her, leaning against it and crossing my legs.
“Aren’t you going to sit?” I gestured toward the couch, reminding her that she was still standing
She huffed, clenching her fingers tightly into a ball as if she would punch me. She wouldn’t dare do that shit though. Because I won’t spare her if she dares to even think of it
“It’s been a while, right?” I grinned from ear to ear when she finally sat, and I continued. “What would you like to have? We have juice. Orange, watermelon apple, and pineapple juice. If you also want wine, we have it. Do you care for anything?” I raised an eyebrow. Fighting her was the last thing on my mind.
“Why are you back, bitch!” She fired at her between gritted teeth, and I clicked in
my tongue
“Now, that is disrespectful. You don’t get to call me names.” I paused, tucking my hair away. “Not in my house.” I added, and she scoffed.
“Now, you can ask your question“
“Why the fuck are you back? Why did you come back?” She raised her voice at ine.
“That is also disrespectful, Amber. You can’t use swear words in my house, and you don’t raise your voice at me. Now, ask whatever question you want to ask in a more mannered way”
She buffed, biting into her lip. The plan was to piss the fuck out of her, and I’m glad it was working
She stood up, picking up her bag from the couch where she left it earlier. “I don’t care why you are here or how you manipulated your way back into the Alpha’s life, but i want you to get your things and leave. I don’t want to see you here the next time I come back. She pointed her index finger at me sternly, throwing me a glare
She had turned to leave when I stood up. “Why are you leaving so soon? Don’t you want answers to your questions!”
She paused, turning to face me as she huffed. I guess she really wanted the answers.

“About leaving.” I paused, closing the distance between us. I leaned close to her and whispered “I think you should communicate that to the Alpha I’m sure he does listen to you, and he would do what you want if you ask him.” I stepped back, a smile spreading across my face as I stared into her eyes. “Ill be waiting for your feedback.“”
I watched her leave, slamming the door behind her, and I huffed. The audacity of her coming here explains it all. Enzo was just a bloody liar who thought he could make a fool of me and I would just believe him like that.
I found my phone screen light on when I walked back inside my room, and I rolled my eyes as I read through the message Enzo had sent to me, asking how I was doing and telling me he would be back soon. For fuck’s sake, who cares if he returns or not?
I tossed my phone on the bed, raking my hair with my fingers frustratingly. How I wish I wasn’t heavy, I wouldn’t have been so bored out. At the very least, I would’ve been leaving the house to go work and meet new people.
My grumbling stomach reminded me that I haven’t had breakfast yet, and at that moment, a knock came on the door, followed by Claudia asking if I was ready to eat. I jumped at the offer without hesitation as I asked her to bring the food
Another five minutes passed before Claudia came to serve my food, and I made sure I asked her first if there was shrimps in the food, I didn’t want to end up like the other day. Who knows, I might not be so lucky to survive it this time.
“No, my lady. The Alpha had me get rid of everything containing shrimps or its flavour in the house.”
“Alright. You may leave. I will call you when I’m done eating” After she left, I began eating
