“How is Lyra” Are you still having a hard time with her?” | with a client and on our way there.
Hector askel worriedly as he drove us down the road. We were having an appointment
“Hmm.” I nodded, looking out of the window, I thought it was going to be easy to get her to forgive me for what I did though it was selfish of me, but I never imagined it’d turn out this way,
“She doesn’t believe that I had nothing to do with Amber,” I let out a sigh, and Hector scoffed, glancing at me

I shook my head because it really didn’t make sense.
You made her believe you were fucking with Amber, and as if it wasn’t enough, you allowed her to believe that bitch was carrying your child. With all due respect, Alpha, it’s really crazy?”
“Yeah, I know.” I nodded affirmatively.
Silence crept into the atmosphere as many thoughts lingered on my mind. Thoughts that didn’t have anywhere heading it. It was so frustrating
“Do you want me to talk to her on your behalf? Who knows, maybe she’ll listen to me.” Hector broke the silence, forcing me to glance at him before looking away again.
“Don’t worry about it, Hector. I will handle this myself” 1 exhaled deeply. This was something between us couples, and I didn’t want to involve a third party to sort it out for us.
“Alright. Alpha. If you ever need my help, you know I would always be here. Don’t hesitate to ask me for help.”

We arrived at the Dynamite pack after over an hour of being on the road, and Hecior pulled over at the parking lot before we alighted. I was supposed to have signed the deal with the alpha a few days back at the party, but I couldn’t make it to the event because I didn’t feel like it.
“It’s been a while, Alpha Enzo” Alpha Jeffery of Dynamite pack welcomed us into his office. He was almost the same age as me.
“It’s good to see you. Alpha.” I shook hands with him before he did with Hector
“Please come sit” He gestured to the two seats across from him, and we went to take it each.
“How was the journey here? Stressful, yeah?” He barely had a smile on his face as his pair of amber eyes pierced into mine

“Your beta told me something came up and you couldn’t make it to the party last week. Hope it’s not something serious, and have you been able to
“Hmm. It’s been sorted out I nodded
“Forgive my manners. What should I offer you!” He picked up the telephone, ready to put a call through so maybe his secretary or anyone.

fine. We are fine.” I shook my head, and he asked if I was sure about it before dropping the telephone.
The meeting kick–started.
“Thank you for your cooperation. I’m looking forward to working with you” Alpha Jeffrey stood up and shook hands with Hector and Lonce everything was copcluded.
“I was nice being here. See you some other time.”
“Wanna go drink with me!” Hector glanced at me as he drove us back minutes later,
“No. I’m not in the
mood to strink,” I shook my head, looking out through the window.
“Now, that is really bad. You are not one to reject a drink.”

“What do you think can be done about this? How about you ask that bitch to tell her the truth! I’m sure she will loosen up if she tells her the truth.” Hector suggested, and I gave him a brief stare, letting out a scoff.
“And you think she will believe me? She’s obviously going to think that I talked her into doing it, which is really true.”
“Oh you are right. This is complicated.” He muttered.
“You don’t have to bother yourself about it. I will handle it.” I patted his shoulder, and he asked if I was sure about it before he nodded.
Since we didn’t have plans to go back to the office, he dropped me off at my apartment.
“My regards to my lady. I will come see her when everything is sorted out. He said and I nodded before alighting from the car.
I met Claudia in the kitchen when I walked inside.
“Greetings. Alpha.” She left what she was doing and greeted me.
“Hmm. Where is my wife“”
“She’s in her room, Alpha”
“What’s for dinner?”
“My lady said she wanted half–cooked steak”
“Half–cooked steak“” I asked to be sure I heard her correctly, and I really did. Is that safe for her and the baby!
“Pregnancy cravings. I muttered, amused by it
I had turned to leave when Claudia called my attention, and I paused.
“Lady Amber was here.” She said after a few seconds of hesitation.
“I think she picked up a fight with my lady.” She added, and I clenched my jaw tightly.
“When was that?”
“A few hours ago I didn’t spend another second in the kitchen before bolting outside. I picked my car keys from the centre table and dashed out of
the house.
The drive to the packhouse didn’t take so much time since it was close by, and I soon arrived there.
“Greetings, Alpha” I ignored every greeting on my way down the hallway, heading straight to Amber chamber. I met her maid standing in front of her chamber when I got there. She bowed as I got close to her.
“Where is Amber? Where is she?”
The maid flinched, obviously petrified by my raging voice.
“La_lady Amber is she her voice shook and her body trembled.
“She is not…” the door opened at that moment, and Amber came outside. A smile crept up
