Sheldon strode forward, snatching the passport from my hand and snarled.
“Nora, you still deny following me?”
“You’ve pushed me this far, even bringing your family card. Are you that desperate to marry me?”
I was speechless, nearly laughing out of sheer anger.
Taking the passport back from Sheldon, I pointed to the significant words on the cover and said coldly.
“Sheldon, could you please look carefully? It’s my passport!”
Sheldon narrowed his eyes, stunned for a
moment.
Looking at me, he asked with confusion.
“Passport? Nora, where are you planning to go?”

Just then, my parents walked up beside me. My mother asked.
“Nora, is it time to line up for boarding
soon?”
Hearing this, Sheldon frowned and instinctively pulled his hand away from
Winter’s.
I couldn’t help but scoff. At a moment like this, was he really still worried about my parents getting the wrong idea?
Sheldon cleared his throat and greeted my
parents.
“Are you guys heading abroad for a trip today?”
“Why didn’t you tell me earlier? Nora is all alone. How can she manage on her own?”
My parents have spoiled me since I was little. We’ve always been very open with each other.
So, my parents already knew everything Sheldon had done over the years.

My father stepped in front of me and said

“There’s no need to trouble you. After all, you and Nora have broken up.”
“Besides, we’re not going abroad for a vacation. It’s because Nora got transferred for her job.”
Sheldon seemed overwhelmed by the sudden information and swayed slightly.
He stared at me blankly, shaking his head.
“No, it can’t be. Nora, why didn’t you discuss something as big as going abroad
with me?”
“Didn’t you promise to stay and grow with me here?”
Sheldon’s voice trembled slightly.
How odd. I could see the panic on his face.

“Where I work has nothing to do with you, my ex.”
“Alright, let’s not talk about this anymore. It’s almost time.”
I checked the flight departure time and was ready to leave with my parents.
But Sheldon suddenly grabbed my wrist and insisted.
“Nora, you can’t leave!”
As we were arguing, Winter, who had been ignored the whole time, suddenly clutched her stomach and bent over in pain.
“Ouch, it hurts so much.”
Without hesitation, he rushed to Winter and helped her up.

Winter bit her lip, forcing a brave front as she shook her head and said sensibly.
“I’m fine. It’s probably just my gastritis acting up again because I didn’t eat breakfast this morning.”
“Sheldon, go after Nora. Don’t worry about me. I’ll just grab some meds from the clinic.”
Sheldon frowned. He immediately scooped Winter into his arms and said firmly.
“Everything else can wait. Right now, your health is the most important.”
Winter leaned against Sheldon’s chest, her face flushed as red as a tomato.
She lightly hit his chest twice, her voice soft and shy as she murmured.
“Sheldon, stop it. Put me down, I can walk on my own.”
