My brother suddenly jumped in. “I’m feeling bad too. Take me shopping!”
William kicked him aside with ease and whisked me away.
On the way, I tried to explain the situation to him, but he simply said, “What‘ s past is past. I don’t want you to have to tear open old wounds. Trust me–I don’t care about any of that.”
“More than that, I’m interested in what you said about me being ‘noble.‘ I like it. Say it more!”
I couldn’t help but laugh at his playful

My brother looked envious, holding our Persian cat with an exaggerated sulk. Any remaining irritation from Ethan‘ s visit was quickly drowned in laughter.
On our wedding day, Ethan and Amanda arrived at the ceremony. This time, they were invited.
Ethan‘ s leg was still in a cast and he leaned on Amanda for support. Several security guards stood nearby to prevent them from causing any disturbances.
I gave William a puzzled look, but he shrugged. “Keeping an eye on them is the best way to keep them from causing. trouble.”
My brother scoffed, “That’s your excuse for being devious.”
When we exchanged rings, a commotion erupted on their side. Ethan pushed Amanda and her forehead struck the

corner of a table, drawing blood. He didn’t even spare her a glance.
It reminded me of the welcome–back party for Amanda, where he’d spilled soup all over me and ran off without a word to
chase after her.
As he struggled to get up and shout, the security guards held him down, covering his mouth.
The wedding bells drowned out his frustration and the air was filled with laughter and joy.
After the ceremony, I walked over to them. This time, I looked at the disheveled Amanda and calmly asked, “Now that you‘ re really seeing me, do we look alike?”
Amanda stared blankly at me for a long moment, then broke into laughter through her tears. “Does it matter? He never truly
loved either of us.”

you, but that was in the past. Now, it‘ s Emma I love. You shouldn’t have come
back. You ruined everything. You‘ ve always been between me and Emma!”
I responded, “Ethan, stop lying to yourself. I’ve been in your study before.”
He stared at me, speechless, before sinking down onto the ground, utterly defeated.
William took my hand and we walked away together.
After a few steps, he mischievously leaned over and said, “Hurry, people are waiting to start the wedding night celebrations.”
I playfully tugged his arm, but he just grinned and pulled my hand up for a kiss.
As for Ethan, I later heard he tried to blame everything on Amanda, seeking revenge on her in every way possible. Driven to desperation, she eventually retaliated by crashing her car into him, leaving his leg, still unhealed, paralyzed permanently.
