She clutched her hair and crouched on the floor as the blood drained from her face. It was clear that I’d hit the nail on the head.
Finally, I said, “You had plenty of opportunities to change your life. Do you remember the man you saved in your past life? He’s actually Blake’s father. You would’ve won Blake’s friendship if you’d been nicer to Mr. Stone, but you didn’t do it.
“I tried to stop you from saving Wanda after being reborn, but you were so obsessed with becoming an heiress. You even resorted to injuring me so you could save her. All I can say now is that you’re reaping what you sow, Lila.”
I returned the poisoned milk to her and turned to leave. When I headed downstairs, I heard a pained cry ring out. It was filled with despair and hatred.

Wanda made me sign several documents. The final one was a share ownership transfer agreement, and I signed it in her study at the Lawson residence. Once I signed it, I officially became Lawson Group’s largest shareholder and the one who held all the power.
Still, since Wanda and I weren’t related, there was no way she could trust me wholeheartedly. She left a way out for herself–she could kick me to the curb and get rid of me if she wanted to teach me a lesson. I wasn’t worried about that, though. Someone would deal with her on my behalf.
Lila entered the study with a glass of warm milk. She stood behind Wanda and massaged her temples.‘ You’ve been too busy with work lately, Mom. Have some milk and get some rest.”
Wanda held the glass to her lips.
Lila suddenly asked, “Have you lied to me about anything in these past few years, Mom

Wanda frowned, looking displeased as she said, “What nonsense! Where would I find the time to lie to you when I’m so busy with work?”
Lila didn’t say anything else. She watched as Wanda drank the milk.
