After a while, Wanda clutched her stomach as intense pain coursed through her. She spat out a mouthful of blood. She belatedly realized what had happened and swept the glass of milk off the table, making it shatter on the floor.
Then, she slapped Lila. “What did you put in the milk? When did you learn the truth?”
Lila’s expression darkened when she heard her words. She snarled, “I put whatever you put in my soup but at a hundred times the dosage.”
Wanda was furious. She spat out another mouthful of blood as she cried, “You bitch! How dare you hurt me before I get revenge on you! You wouldn’t be where you are now if not for me bringing you to Cordon City. You’re an ingrate!”

Lila screamed, “Who’s the ingrate here? I saved you, yet you blamed me for not saving your daughter! You always blame others, but did you stop to think about whether you would’ve chosen to save yourself o your daughter?
“You would’ve chosen yourself because you’re a selfish coward! You would’ve died if not for me!
Wanda gasped for breath. Only then did she notice me standing in the corner. She crawled toward me and begged, “Call an ambulance, Holly. I need to go to the hospital. Then, call the police and have this psycho arrested!”
I bent down and pried her hands off my feet as she watched me in disbelief. I asked, “Have you heard of people biting the hand that feeds them? Do you think I’ll save you a second time after being bitten once?

She stared at me in horror, like I was a monster. “You’ve been lying to me this whole time!”
I smiled and said, “Congratulations on guessing correctly! You love lying to people, so it’s time for you to get a taste of your own medicine. Isn’t it nice?”
Wanda screamed in rage. Then, she choked to death as blood gurgled in her throat. She stared at me in horror and disbelief as she died.
I’d had the same look on my face when dying in my past life. Now, I’d gotten back at her for everything she did to me. She’d repaid the debt she owed me.
After Wanda stopped breathing, Lila drank the remainder of the milk. She wiped the blood from the corner of her mouth and lay on Wanda’s legs, shutting her eyes peacefully. “I’ll always be the Lawson family’s heiress, Mom. I’ll always be by your side.”
She died, too.
