I helped her to another room and listened as she vented her frustrations and stress over her work. Then, she said in despair, “My superior keeps picking on me. He said he would fire me if I can’t give him a new proposal by today. How am I going to survive in this city without a job?”
I raised an eyebrow when I saw that she was about to cry again. I asked her to show me what she already had. She did as told, albeit warily.
I flipped through it before giving her my opinion. When I saw how dazed.she looked, I patted her shoulder and said, “I hope my thoughts help you with your proposal.”
After leaving, I snorted to myself. The young woman wasn’t an intern at all. She was Wanda’s special assistant and one of Lawson Group’s most important employees. Even her acting was flawless.
