Chapter 1
After being reborn, the first thing Jenna did was kneel before her parents, speaking each word with sincerity.
“Dad. Mon, for the marriage alliance with the Spencer family, I choose to marry Chad Spencer.”
Upon hearing their daughter make such a request, both Mr. Hall and Mrs.Hall were utterly surprised
“Jenna, didn’t you like Charlie? Chad is his younger brother, after all.”
As if remembering something, Jenna’s eyes flickered slightly, and her voice carried a tinge of sorrow.
“It’s precisely because I know the consequences of loving him, that I dare no longer love him.”
“Dad, Mom, I’ve never asked you for anything. As the daughter of a family that has enjoyed the glory of the Hall family, I know that a marriage alliance is my responsibility. This is my only request, please grant it.”
Seeing her forehead red from kneeling, Mr.Hall and Mrs.Hall sighed and helped her up.
“Since you’ve made up your mind, we’ll go to the Spencer family and inquire. The only problem is, Chad is a man of high rank and power; he may not agree to this marriage. You should be mentally prepared.”
As they reassured her, Mr.Hall and Mrs.Hall began preparing a generous gift to visit the Spencer family.
The black car gradually disappeared into the distance. Jenna turned around and looked at the familiar layout of the living room, feeling slightly unreal.
Suddenly, the phone on the table rang.
[Nightfall Bar, come over.]
It was a message from Charlie, asking to meet her, with the bar address attached..
Remembering what had just happened, Jenna saw this as an opportunity to clarify things about the marriage exchange and headed over.
But as soon as she opened the door to the private room, a bucket of cold water splashed directly onto her, soaking her through.
The coldness seeped into her skin, and she shivered involuntarily as laughter erupted from all directions.
“Oh, isn’t this the Hall family’s young lady? How did you end up like a drowned rat?”
“Deserved! Who told her to chase after Charlie every day? This is the outcome of being a sycophantic lapdog!”
Charlie walked toward Jenna with a cold expression, his eyes dark and stormy.
“Are you that eager to marry me? As soon as the news of our marriage alliance spreads, you’re rushing to have your parents go to my family to discuss the marriage, making it public. Now the whole circle knows about our alliance.
Are you satisfied?”
Jenna understood that he had misunderstood.
She wiped the water from her face, brushed the wet hair sticking to her forehead, and calmly looked at him.
“The marriage alliance between the Hall and Spencer families is already decided. It doesn’t matter where we discuss it. But don’t worry, because this matter has nothing to do with you.”
Charlie froze for a moment, then sneered.
“Has nothing to do with me? Are you trying to say that the one marrying you isn’t me? Ridiculous, who else from the Spencer family could marry you if not me?”
Just as Jenna was about to speak, the door that had been slightly ajar was pushed open.
Xena, who had barged in and witnessed the scene, had tears welling up in her eyes.
“Master, I… I heard you’re getting married, so I came to wish you happiness, wishing you and Miss Hall a lifetime of happiness, growing old together.”
As she spoke, her eyes turned red, and she rushed out, leaving only the faint sound of her crying.
“Xena!”
Charlie immediately became anxious, shoving the person in front of him aside as he chased after her.
Jenna, who had been knocked over onto the coffee table, hit her forehead and a wound opened, blood pouring out. looking horrific.
A sharp pain surged through her, and as she watched their distant figures, countless memories from the past flooded
her mind.
In her previous life, Jenna and Charlie grew up as childhood sweethearts, with a very deep bond.
When they reached adulthood, after hearing from her parents about the potential marriage between their families, Jenna remembered how Charlie had cared for her so attentively over the years, and without a second thought, she
chose him.
But after the news of their potential marriage spread, his attitude toward her slowly changed from anger, to indifference, and finally, almost to disgust.
Jenna didn’t understand the reason, yet she still chose to marry him, thinking things would improve after the wedding
However, even after their child was born, she stumbled upon thousands of photos of Xena, the daughter of their family’s maid, hidden in Charlie’s study.
In that moment, she realized that the woman he truly loved was Xena. The only reason he hadn’t pursued her was due to the class difference.

Chapter 1
Two years after their marriage, Xena married someone else, but Charlie’s marriage to Jenna was filled with discord.
He drank his days away, mourning for her.
The day Jenna’s husband died in a car accident was the happiest day of Charlie’s life.
Jenna saw all of this with her own eyes, and her heart shattered. But she forced herself to ignore it, focusing on raising her daughter to adulthood.
Until a kidnapping case involved both her daughter and Xena’s son.
The kidnappers told Charlie to choose which child to save. After only a few seconds of hesitation, he chose the boy. who had no blood relation to him.
The next second, their daughter was pushed off the high rise building, falling to her death.
Jenna, who witnessed it all, collapsed on the spot and jumped after her daughter.
Now, given a second chance at life, she no longer wanted to torment herself. All she wanted was to sever all ties with
Charlie!
In the private room, a group of people continued to laugh and sneer.
“An unwilling marriage is never sweet. Even if they’re married, Charlie doesn’t want to marry her. Who cares?”
“By then, Charlie won’t be home. Some lapdog will just have to play the role of a neglected wife!”
Amidst the ridicule, Jenna’s phone rang.
She picked it up and saw a message from her parents.
“Jenna! Chad has agreed! The wedding will be in half a month!”
Her parents, always composed, had included three exclamation marks, showing how shocked and excited they were by Chad’s agreement.
Jenna breathed a sigh of relief.
She propped herself up, looking at the people who were mocking her, with a determination in her gaze that she had never had before.
“My happiness after marriage is none of your business, and it has nothing to do with Charlie.”
“Please tell him that in half a month, I will be getting married. The groom will not be him!”
