Chapter 6
It seemed like he noticed my emotions.
Mason couldn’t help but speak in a low voice.
“What’s wrong? Are you nervous?”
I said absentmindedly, “A little bit.”
Then, he patted my shoulder and smiled, “Don’t worry. I’ve put Raymond through his paces for you. He’s about my age but definitely more mature and reliable than me. If you want to get married, he’d be a good man.
“Don’t worry, Bella. If he bullies you, tell me, and I’ll help you teach him a lesson!” Mason patted his chest and said solemnly.
Looking at Mason’s arrogant look, I couldn’t help but burst out laughing.
“Okay, I got it.”
Seeing that I finally smiled, he restrained his smile.
“Bella, you finally smiled…”
I was stunned for a moment.
I knew that the emotional connection between people with blood
ties was irreplaceable. As the person closest to me, how could he not notice my emotions?
Mason pressed his lips and said carefully, “Bella, I’m serious. If you want, just tell us what’s going on. You’re not alone!”
I nodded and couldn’t help but feel moved.
As I arrived at the hotel, I went to the bathroom to tidy myself up.
Then, I was about to go back and noticed a commotion in the hotel corridor.
I saw a man and a woman standing opposite each other.
The woman was wearing a sexy hip skirt, heavy makeup, and crying.
She pointed at the man and accused him in a shrill voice.
“That night when you were drunk, you slept with me and said you would marry me, and I chose to believe you. Now that I’m pregnant, you’ve turned your back on me? You’re even furtively getting engaged to another woman, right?”
As she spoke, the woman threw a B–ultrasound report in front of him and cried so hard that her whole body was shaking.
The man had a gloomy face and a blank expression. He looked like a completely irresponsible scumbag.
Chapter 6
“I don’t know you at all. I drank that night, but I was sober at that time, and I definitely didn’t have any relationship with you!”
I couldn’t help but feel a little contempt.
From this familiar rhetoric, I could guess what their next conversation would be.
Although I was not sure about the reason behind it, after all, it was common for wealthy gentlemen to have a playful and promiscuous
nature.
Of course, it was also possible that he was slandered by someone with ulterior motives.
I didn’t want to pay attention to them and turned around to leave.
Suddenly, a woman’s hoarse and angry voice came to my ears.
“Raymond! You are the future heir of the Brown family. If you dare not admit it, what kind of man are you?”
Was he Raymond?
Was he from the Brown family who would marry me?
I paused abruptly and looked up subconsciously.
However, I met Raymond’s deep eyes.
The moment our gaze met, there seemed to be a flash of surprise on his face.
Without waiting for me to react, Raymond strode toward me the next. second.
He naturally put his arm around my waist and smiled, “I’m not lying. The person next to me is my fiancée. I was drunk that night, and she took care of me all night.”
Then, it was not just me; the pitiful woman in front of him was also stunned.
She opened her eyes wide, looking shocked.
“How…how could it be? How come I don’t know her? Where did she come from? Did you deliberately find someone to help you shirk responsibility?!”
Raymond raised his eyebrows slightly and said nonchalantly, “Why a would I lie to you? If you don’t believe me, ask her! Can I just find someone to cover for me?”
As he was talking, I felt a slight pinch on my waist.
I pretended to be calm, leaned close to him, and whispered, “What’s going on?”
Raymond leaned forward slightly and whispered, “Help me explain it first, and I’ll explain it to you later.”

Saying that, he tightened his grip.
I stumbled and fell into his arms.
Seeing this, the woman suddenly changed her expression.

I snuggled in Raymond’s arms and smiled, “Raymond is right. I am his fiancée, and I was the one who stayed with him that night. He came here today to get engaged to me.”
