Chapter 15
No matter what, Eleanor’s public admission of the controversy has completely cleared Heavens Arts name. The Guild has communicated smoothly with the public, and they accepted Percival’s apology. They still decided to keep Celeste as their representative, given that she is also a victim; this incident has only boosted her recognition. Both Heavens Arts and Celeste faced no losses, but Eleanor’s reputation was left in tatters
In no time, terms like “Queen of Scandal,” “Calculating Model,” and “Manipulative Eleanor” dominated trending searches online, with comments that were nothing short of brutal
Eleanor sat in her dressing room, trying her best to maintain her composure as she flicked through the news. Deep down, she was aware that all the humiliation she was facing… It wouldn’t be long before she made Percival and Celeste pay back tenfold.
Right now, to every one, she was just a fallen star. Even the janitor couldn’t hold back a jab, “Miss Eleanor, can you lift your high–and–mighty leg? Can’t you see I’m trying to clean here?”
“You don’t even do runway shows, so why do you come in every day and make me suffer back pain?”
Eleanor’s expression chilled. She may have hit rock bottom, but that didn’t mean anyone could trample over her. So… she reached for her phone and called Percival, hitting the speakerphone button in front of the janitor, “Percival, I’m at the office, and I’ve reached a point where even the janitor thinks it’s okay to humiliate me. “Give the name to HR and let her go.” Percival replied decisively,
still
Eleanor hung up and lifted her gaze, glaring at the woman, ber voice icy, “My being easy–going doesn’t mean you can take Eberties. Even if I’m no longer a model, I’m sti Tang. Making a janitor lose her job is still a piece of cake…”
The woman’s face turned pale, cold sweat pouring down her brow. She hadn’t expected Eleanor to unleash her fury with such force, so she quickly bowed and apologized, I’m sorry Miss Eleanor, I won’t do it again”
“Above others, treat others as people, and especially when you’re below.” Eleanor didn’t want to make life tough for her coworkers, but she needed to remind them. After saying that, she stood up because Percival had just tested her to head over to the Chancellor’s Office.
“Eleanor, your image has plummeted. So… I’ve arranged some public appearances to help rebuild your image. Since Celeste was hurt, you should visit her, take care of her a bit consider it an apology work the sympathy angle”
Eleanor looked at Percival’s face, realizing he had never been this shameless before.
Celeste obviously wanted to use this incident to humiliate her, yet Percival said it so matter–of–factly.
“It’s just for show… and it’s going to be live–streamed–just a few minutes……“
Percival thought for sure that Eleanor would refuse, as this was indeed Celeste’s absurd densand framed as an excuse for her injury. However, unexpectedly, Eleanor nodded in agreement.
“Sure”
“You’re willing to go.”
“I haven’t had the chance to visit Celeste since her accident, so this works out perfectly.” Eleanor agreed generously.
“Let me arrange an escort for you out, there’s a horde of reporters outside.”
Eleanor remained unfazed because she understood this was Celeste’s plan to trap her. The more brazen Celeste acted now, the more disastrous her eventual public image would be.
Who would be laughing last?
That remained to be seen.
A short while later, Eleanor hopped into Percival’s assistant’s car, headed towards Heaven’s Asylum, but midway, she texted Victor: “Honey, don’t worry about my news; I have a plan. Also… can you send someone to meet me at Heaven’s Asylum tonight?”
