Chapter 2
Victor’s assistant, Colton, stood frozen behind him, astonished that a woman could be so bold….
Bat Eleanor held her head high, summoning every ounce of courage within her.
Victor removed his sunglasses, revealing his dark eyes that sparkled like diamonds, flashing a sharp glimmer. After a brief moment, he turned to his assistant and commanded. “Get me her information”
Colton, fully aware of who Eleanor was, quickly pulled out his phone to search for her name, handing over the details with the utmost respect. Two minutes later, Victor’s thin lips parted slightly as he uttered a single word: “Good.”
Eleanor felt remarkably fortunate to encounter Victor because he had no need for manipulation, romance, or fleeting companions. Moreover, she was determined to make Percival regret his choices.
Within half an hour, their wedding paperwork was swiftly processed, and Eleanor held her marriage certificate in hand, officially becoming a married woman.
“Mr. Victor, I was wondering if you have a moment to discuss a couple of things?”
“Get in the car,” he replied, donning his sunglasses again as he strode out of the registration office.
Eleanor followed closely behind and stepped into the luxurious Rolls–Royce. A twinge of nervousness crept in, and she turned to Victor. Thank you for marrying me. I willing to comply with whatever you need. However, I have two conditions I hope you will agree to.”
“Go ahead,” Victor said, loosening his jacket with a hint of fatigue,
“First, our marriage should not be made public unless absolutely necessary. Second, please don’t interfere in my personal affairs. I assure you, now that we are married. I will not engage in any inappropriate interactions with other men.”
At her words, Victor’s lips curled into a subtle smirk, an air of danger swirling in the confined space of the car. “I agree… However, I’ll give you six months to sort out your chaotic past and to experience living together as a couple. After that I will publicly announce our marriage.”
“Thank you,” Eleanor nocled in agreement.
“And one more thing… I don’t support couples living apart. You have three days to move to the location 1 designate. My assistant will reach out to you afterward.” Eleanor saw no reason to object; such demands were entirely reasonable for a married couple. She acquiesced with a nod, “I accept”
“Good” Vid.
Victor replied, seeming satisfied with their verbal agreement.
After Eleanor leaving Victor’s car, Colton got into the car and took the driver’s position. Through the rearview mirror, he queried. “Boss, should we head back to the office, or do
you want to inform the Chairman at the estate first?”
“Drive behind Eleanor and ke
I keep me updated on her movements,” Victor ordered, stepping out of the vehicle.
