Chapter 25
The news about HF’s replacement of its spokesperson spread quickly through the entertainment industry. Victor, in his
his spare time, caught wind of the story. For him, HF’s endorsement with Henry was something even the lowest tier of artists would look down upon. However, for Eleanor, claiming the endorsement back from Celeste was a significant victory, Without hesitation, he immediately called Eleanor, saying. “Well done.” Eleanor chuckled lights, feelime pleased. Your praise means more to me than anything else.”
In response. Eleanor succinctly said. “I will” It was time to go back to Heavens Arts and witness Celeste’s fall from grace.
When the news broke. Celeste was blissfully unaware, sleeping soundly in Percival’s apartment. Just last night, she had rushed out of the hospital, using a bit of theatrical flair to keep Peroval by her side, ensuring he wouldn’t call Eleanor. Once something was in her hands, no one else would have a chance to take it away–especially not Eleanor, who seemed perpetually at odds with her.
Celeste’s assistant amed in a flurry, showing her the news. At first, Celeste couldn’t believe it “HF’s endorsement has already been secured. There’s no way they would change their minds
“Celeste, this is real. Mr. Percival received a call from HF at noon. They explicitly stated they would be switching the endorsement to Eleanor, otherwise, they preferred to work with other artists,” the assistant pointed out frantically, her brow furrowed with worry. “What has Eleanor done to take the endorsement away from you?”
“Back to the office. I need Perival to explain this to me directly,” Celeste declared. She knew that if she confronted him over the phone or at home, he might sweet–talk his way mut of it, so only a face–to–face confrontation at the office would suffice.
In reality, Fererval was already at a loss. The firm stance of HF on wanting Eleanor had struck a significant blow to Celeste. Yet, did he have the power to refuse? He couldn’t afford to turn down business, after all
As Perenal mulled over how to comfort Celeste, she arrived in a wheelchair, assisted by her aide, at the Chancellor’s Office–she had made it there before Eleanor, given that it was just a few hundred meters away.
“Percival, what on earth happened? Why is Eleanor stealing what rightfully belongs to me?” Celeste demanded, her voice laced with disbelief.
Permal pestured for the assistant to leave. Once they were alone, he stepped closer to Celeste and wrapped his arms around her. “Celeste, this was unavoidable. I’m working on getting you a better endorsement “
You know full well that Eugene from HF is the brother of Miss Linus, one of the judges for the annual model selection. This endorsement is vital for me! How could Eleanor xmatch it away?” Celeste pashed Percival assay, her voice rising with anger. “She’s already taken you away, isn’t that enough? Why does she insist on taking everything from me? If I lose this endorsement, I swear I’ll abandon my child and leave Heavens Arts!”
“What are you saying in anger?” Percival quickly tried to restrain ber. “How could you say something like abandoning a child? You know I lean toward you, but HFs position is solid.
“After all the times Eleanor has taken a step back, what’s another time? She’s going to marry you; why does she need the endorsement?”
After hearing Celeste’s words. Percival considered her reasoning. Given Eleanor’s history of concessions, he figured she wouldn’t mind conceding one more endorsement He hastily assured Celeste, “talk to her. Please don’t be upset, okay?”
Celeste red hard, tears flowing down her cheeks as she collapsed in Percival’s embrace. Just then, a knock came at the door, and Celeste’s aide informed them that Eleanor and Seraphina had returned to the office.
