Chapter 33
The crowd buzzed with skepticism, their phones capturing the scene as they scrutinized Eleanor’s behavior, labeling it as shockingly uncouth. In stark contrast, their trust leaned firmly toward Celeste, whom many viewed as possessing superior character.Surrounded by onlookers, Eleanor felt trapped but surprisingly composed. She removed her sunglasses, facing her fans and passerby with a bare face: “If you want me to answer your questions, I’d like to ask a few in return first.”
“You go ahead,” sneered a vocal detractor from the crowd, eager to watch the unfolding drama.
“First, if you claim to be my fans, then tell me the year I debuted and the awards I’ve won. Can you do that?”
The bold detractors fell silent, thrown off guard. How could they know anything about Eleanor when they despised her?
“Uh… we’re all new fans. Regardless, throwing away the flowers I sent you is on you!” one countered defiantly.
“Let’s set the flower issue aside for now,” Eleanor responded calmly, “but I trust the airport’s surveillance cameras captured the whole exchange. In that moment the flowers landed, I did apologize, and I’m sure everyone heard that. I acknowledge that I have much to learn from Celeste, but do you have any other complaints?”
She spoke softly, her tone devoid of aggression, yet she pointed out that the girl causing trouble was not truly her fan, but rather one of Celeste’s. With Eleanor’s calm demeanor and gracious attitude, some bystanders began to shift their opinions, feeling that Celeste’s supporters were being unreasonable and petty.
“Of course, I like Celeste too, but we just think you aren’t worthy enough to compare with her. You even took her endorsement deal–give it back!” With that, the vocal detractor shoved Eleanor, nearly knocking her off balance. Thankfully, bodyguards dispatched by Victor swiftly intervened, parting the crowd to steady her against the
chaos.
Seraphina, fuming at the scene, stepped in front of the detractor and Eleanor. She turned to Eleanor, speaking sharply, “You go over there and wait. I’ll be right back.” “Alright,” Eleanor replied calmly, adjusting her sunglasses again.
“Hey, if you don’t give us a good answer today and return Celeste’s endorsement, you’re not leaving,” the detractors declared coldly, linking arms to form a barrier. “Is that really how much you trust Celeste’s character?” Seraphina countered, her voice layered with meaning.
“Of course, a cheap model like her isn’t worthy of trust.”
“I just recorded that…” Seraphina raised her phone, a devilish smile creeping across her face. “Later, I’ll send those lovely words to someone special.” She then called the police, ensuring they quickly arrived to escort Eleanor out of the fray. Alongside Victor’s bodyguards, Eleanor soon vanished from public view, though she leaned in to share something quietly with the police.
“Eleanor, right now Celeste has pushed the story of her stolen endorsement to the front pages,” Seraphina said, glancing at her phone.
“Then what are we waiting for? Let’s release the video…” Eleanor replied, her pace unwavering.
“We should let that group of fans see just who their so–called goddess truly is…” Seraphina grinned, dialing a familiar paparazzi number. “Post the video we prepared earlier -immediately!”
Percival, I’m curious how many times you can save Celeste from this.
In the lounge of Heavens Arts Entertainment, Celeste reveled in the top story, knowing the fan–captured photos made Eleanor appear powerless, filling her with a sense of vindication. The cost of stealing her endorsement meant Eleanor would now suffer a taste of her own medicine, and Celeste anticipated even more thrilling chapters to
come.
“Celeste, with this newfound attention, the endorsements coming up will surely surpass HF’s!” her assistant said, giving her a massage while buttering her up. “Absolutely! I’m aiming for that annual top ten model list,” she declared, a gleam in her eyes.
