Suddenly, a deep, commanding voice emerged from the end of the runway: “Yeah, some people really need to go…”
The reporters, taken aback, turned to follow the voice and there stood Victor, a chilly expression on his face, at the end of the runway. Eyes widened in disbelief. Oh wow… in’t be the president of Victor’s Entertainment? What is he doing here?
More importantly, he actually stepped onto the runway. Everyone knew Victor had zero tolerance for artists who made a scene; it seemed Eleanor was digging her own grave. Even Mr. Victor couldn’t just stand by,
The crowd collectively held their breath, anticipating Eleanor’s downfall, but watched as Victor approached her, regal like a king, before confronting HF’s designer. “But it’s not her who should be leaving it’s you who needs to go.”
“I can make you disappear from Shining Capital, because your attitude matches your jewelry–it just doesn’t measure up.”
Eleanor’s heart stopped; she never expected this husband, whom she had only met three times, to defend her.
The media fell silent, starting to feel wary; had they known about Eleanor’s connection to Victor, they wouldn’t have dared to behave so rudely.
HF’s founder turned pale, realizing he couldn’t offend Victor’s Entertainment After a tense pause, he begrudgingly apologized: “I’m sorry, Mr. Victor, I didn’t realize this lady is connected to you…”
“You’re mistaken. I have no ties with her; 1 merely have a profound distrust in your character.” Victor distanced himself from Eleanor as he prepared to leave, but just before exiting, be turned to face the media and proclaimed, “But she will undeniably be a rising star in this modeling industry.”
The media was once again shocked. Did Victor really say that intentionally to sign Eleanor? Surely, he must be joking. Regardless, the press and the jewelry company dared not bother Eleanor anymore, turning their attention instead to Heavens Arts Entertainment.
Now, Heavens Arts Entertainment and Percival were in deep trouble. Celeste’s assistant even openly criticized Eleanor, saying, “If you can’t handle something this small, what else can you do? Let’s see how Mr. Percival deals with you this time.”
Eleanor remained unfazed, her demeanor calm and collected like never before.
After changing her outfit, she left the fashion show only to spot Victor’s flashy sports car at a side entrance.
“Get in.”
Eleanor complied, gratitude evident in her voice. “Thank you for today.”
Victor’s eyes shifted, a hint of a smile playing at the corners of his mouth. “Do you think I could stand by while someone bullies my newlywed wife in public?”
“Actually, I don’t deserve your help because I deliberately let people recognize me,” Eleanor confessed, a twinge of guilt in her tone.
Victor met her gaze and replied coolly, “I know”
“It’s just that if you can’t find a way to deal with them, you can talk to me. It seems a bit foolish to hurt yourself while trying to hurt the enemy, right?” Eleanor fell silent, taken aback.
“Where to?” Victor asked,
“To your place. We are married after all,” she countered, stating her decision firmly as there was no way she would allow herself to have regrets.
“Think it over. We’re not just married; tonight… is our wediting night.”
