Chapter 9
The media knew better than to as Victor, even if they could not comprehend why he chose to help Eleanor, Seraphina, too, found herself puzzled by how smoothly their plans were unfolding. She had anticipated a drawn nut battle with Heavens Arts,
“Elenor, tell me – is there another company trying to hire you away?” Seraphina asked.
“No,” Eleanor glanced at Victor, who sat next to her. “Hat there is someone hacking me, although I can’t disclose their identity right now.”
*Haha! That’s fine, we can discuss it later, Just picturing Percival’s furious face is pure delight,” Seraphina chuckled, believing Eleanor was merely exploiting her family’s
connections.
Little did she know that Eleanor had become the flash–married wife of entertainment mogul Victor.
“Are you looking to use this opportunity to leave Heavens Arts? Victor asked gracefully, slicing into his steak with effortless elegance,
“No… just walking away would be too easy for those two. I intend to make them crash from the highest point,” Eleanor replied steadily. “Besides, I’m planning to re–enter this industry, but my popularity isn’t what it used to be. Heavens Arts still has its value,”
“You’re acting out of anger right now, What if one day you no longer hate…”
“I never regret my decisions. There’s no turning back.” Eleanor firmly assured Victor. When it came to love, she could give her all, when it came to hate, she could destroy with her own hands.
It had been several hours since the scandal about her substitute had broken, and Percival hadn’t even bothered to reach out with a supportive phone call. Instead, he had released a damaging press article. She couldn’t allow Percival another opportunity to hurt her.
Victor was silent, but he found himself drawn to Eleanor’s intensity. She was neither name nor foolish; she was astute and understood the consequences of falsehoods spoken in his presence. So, she chose to be candid, sharing both her light and darkness–this was trust.
“I had Colton reserve a suite in this hotel. Tonight, we’ll be staying here. Heading home has lost its charm….
Beanor felt her cheeks warm but nodded. “Il follow your lead…”
Meanwhile, Percival was still entangled in negotiations with the media and partners, and knowing Celeste was pregnant, he completely forgot who Eleanor was and, of course, had no clue where she was now.
After a romantic dinner, Eleanor trailed behind Victor as they entered the presidential suite–no, it was actually a honeymoon suite.
In such a rushed wedding, Victor still had the thoughtfulness to make these preparations. She couldn’t help but feel warmth at Victor’s considerate nature, something Percival would never have done for her.
Sensing Eleanor’s unease, Victor removed his suit jacket and turned to her. “I’ll take a shower first, giving you time to gather your thoughts. If you still have any reservations…well, we can delay our wedding night indefinitely.”
Eleanor appreciated his thoughtfulness, watching him disappear into the bathroom. Yet…. they were already married. Why should Victor have to accommodate her hesitations?
With those thoughts swirling in her mind, Eleanor moved to the bathroom and pushed the door open, surprising Victor before she embraced his broad frame. “I don’t
regret
“Think it through. Once you become mine, there won’t be any chance to struggle again, Victor murmured, his deep and sexy voice resonating like a melody that stirred her heart.
I’m clear about what I want.”
As soon as those words left her lips, Victor couldn’t hold back anymore. He wrapped one arm around Eleanor’s waist and kissed her, while his other hand lifted the hem of her increasingly damp dress.
Eleanor’s mind buzzed as she had
had never experienced a kiss like this one–possessed by such alluring magic that it nearly drove her to madness.
Under the cascading water, she gazed in a daze at Victor’s handsome face, taking in the diamond–like beauty mark on his earlobe and that smoldering gare that seemed to Come her hit by tat
