Today, I told Sarah, “Let’s go on vacation

He was never satisfied and I was exhausted.

The night before my flight, I came out of the

It was my first time forgetting to turn the

The consequence of trying to hide my trip
from Ben was that I couldn’t get out of bed
the next day.
And I missed my flight.
I was annoyed.
I cursed Ben. “Beast!”
To make it up to me, he took me on vacation.
At the seaside villa, in the open–air pool, I
had my arms around Ben’s neck.
With tears in my eyes, I said, “You lied.”
This was not a vacation, it was just a way for
him to do whatever he wanted to me.
Ben asked in a rough voice, “Are you not
happy?”
Well, it was pretty fun.
It was my own choice, so I had to deal with it.
The weather was good, the sea breeze was
gentle.
Tomorrow I would rest.
I was going to catch crabs at the beach.
