When Caelan saw me, he rushed over and grabbed my wrist. “Nellie, we still need to talk about everything. How can you just leave like that? You can’t do this to me!

It was obvious he had not been getting any rest lately.
I smirked at him and said, “So, you know you can’t manage without me? But didn’t you always look down on me and want to replace me?

Caelan looked at me in desperation.
I shook off his hand and turned to leave.
But Caelan ran after me and hugged me. He refused to give up. “Nellie, I was wrong. I only made this one mistake. Can you forgive me?
“I won’t think less of you anymore. I will always love you!
“Please, come back to me. I can’t live without you!”
Hearing his insincere words made me feel sick.
Just then, Isabel appeared with a group of reporters. She pointed at Caelan and said, “This is my boss. He’s the one who took advantage of me! He took my innocence and lied to me about taking responsibility, but now, he’s still messing around with his ex–wife!
“Please help me, everyone!”
Caelan looked shocked when he saw this.
I calmly looked at the noisy crowd and warned them, “Which company are you with? Why aren’t you wearing your press badges?
“If you take pictures of me without the proper permissions, I will sue you. Just wait for the consequences. You might even lose your jobs.”
Upon hearing that, the reporters looked uneasy and lowered their cameras.
But Isabel kept shouting, “I want everyone to know what kind of people you two are! I’m doing this to warn other girls! I’m just being a good person!”
When Caelan heard her accusations, he finally snapped back to reality. He shouted angrily, “Stop bothering us! Leave now, or I’ll call the police!”
Isabel was not scared. She was no longer the sweet girl she used to act like. Instead, she sneered and said, “Caelan, I never thought I’d see you this scared! Didn’t you think about this when you slapped me

Isabel thought too highly of herself.
I knew that after the damage to the company, Caelan could not possibly come up with three million dollars.
If he could, Isabel would not be bothering me.
Caelan looked at me desperately for help.
I almost laughed out of anger.
After cheating, he expected me to pay to fix his mess.
Did he think I was that foolish?
I could not help but frown. When I looked at him again, my eyes were filled with indifference.
“Anything between you two has nothing to do with me! Don’t drag me into this!”
After saying that, I turned to leave.
But just as I took a couple of steps, someone roughly grabbed my hair.
The pain made me cry out.
People in the airport stopped to watch.
Not knowing what was going on, the crowd began to support Isabel after hearing her words.
“What a shame! This couple is teaming up to bully a young girl!”
“Knowing your husband is cheating and not stopping him? A woman like that deserves to be cheated on!”
“We’re all women here. Who doesn’t see her intentions? She’s acting so generous, but she’s just waiting to confront the mistress! I think she should pay for the damages!”
Seeing everyone on her side, Isabel proudly shouted, “Exactly! It’s her fault that her husband doesn’t want her because she’s old and disabled, so he came after me! She’s the one to blame for me being taken advantage of!”
After she said that, Caelan rushed over and slapped her hard.
“Shut up! You can’t talk about Nellie like that!”
