After hanging up, Dermot turned and walked back into the ward
“Dermot…” Noticing Dermot’s grim expression, Cassie felt uneasy.
“Why did you deliberately bring up my divorce?” he asked, looking at the woman on the bed. She went too far. He wondered if it was because he had been too indulgent with her over the past two years.

Suddenly, his phone rang, pulling him back from his contemplation. Irritated, he rubbed his forehead and answered the call, “Say it.”
“Mr. Doyle, I’ve checked your travel records for the past five years, and there doesn’t seem to be any overlap with Dr. Kyle’s itinerary.”
“However, it’s strange that Dr. Kyte disappeared two years ago, and no one knows where she went, making it difficult to trace her whereabouts during these past two years.”
“Shall we ask Mr. Irvine for help in investigating? Todd suggested.

“How are you going back? A taxi? Evelyn looked around and was somewhat surprised to see no one coming to pick her up.
She hadn’t seen Dermot for several days and thought he would come today to pick up Cassie. At that moment, she suddenly started having doubts about whether he truly cared about Cassie or not.

car approaching not far away and said, “Dermot is here to pick me up.”
Upon hearing this, Evelyn looked over.
The car pulled up beside them, and Dermot stepped out. Despite not having seen each other for a few days, he maintained a cold expression, devoid of any hint of happiness or anger.
“Is everything taken care of?” he asked, looking at Cassie.
“Yeah, thanks to Dr. Kyte, she helped me with everything,” Cassie replied, her gaze shitting between Dermot

“It’s probably best if we don’t see each other again.” Evelyn waved with smile. After all, she was a doctor, and meeting again usually
