The next day at Moris Hospital, after finishing a surgery, Evelyn receive a call from Niall.
“Somebody’s investigating your background. The other party has some big connections, and it may not be long before they find out about your domestic information,” he said.
Evelyn was surprised but quickly regained her composure. “It’s okay, Nal. Even if they find out, so what? I don’t have anything to hide.”
“Hmm, I thought you didn’t want Dermot to know your identity,” Niall teased.
Evelyn smiled and shrugged it off. “I don’t really care whether he knows or not. If he knows, he knows. If he doesn’t, I won’t bring it up.”
