Chapter 25
“I don’t have any say in this matter, it still depends on Orlando.
Who doesn’t know how to beat around the bush? Jocelynn directly threw the question to Orlando.
She had heard Marcel say that Orlando was even more workaholic than him, completely focused on his career, and had no plans to date.
If it weren’t for Trevor, maybe she would have considered giving it a try.
After all, who wouldn’t like the handsome and wealthy Diamond King?
But now, she is not so eager for love.
Orlando looked up and spoke lightly, “For now, I don’t have any plans in that regard, so I won’t hold Jocelynn back. As for the previous mention of being childhood sweethearts, let’s forget about it.”
Jocelynn couldn’t help but curl her lips, and she guessed right indeed.
Orlando would not agree.
Orlando suddenly felt a bit angry, but Orlando’s mother held him back so he didn’t explode on the spot. However, the atmosphere in
the private room was not as cheerful as before.
Kaeden smiled and chuckled when he saw this, “Young people nowadays value freedom in relationships, regardless of how it may be,
it’s still up to their own will”
Mr. Parker didn’t say much, Kaeden persuaded a few more words, and the atmosphere on the table became lively again
At the end of the show, Jocelynn, who was walking at the back, called out to Orlando
“Orlando, thank you for what happened yesterday.”
Regardless, she is still grateful for what happened yesterday, otherwise, she wouldn’t know how long she would have to deal with
Trevor,
Orlando had no expression on his face, “It’s no big deal, just pay more attention next time when judging people.”
After saying that, he lifted his foot and left.
People looked coldly and spoke coldly, Jocelynn couldn’t imagine how he held himself when he was a child.
On the way home, Kaeden apologized to Jocelynn.
“Jocelynn, today’s incident was Dad’s fault. We had forgotten about it because Orlando hadn’t come back for a while, but David suddenly brought it up today, and that’s when we remembered.”
Alyssa also nervously looked at her daughter, afraid that they would mishandle it this time and receive blame.
Jocelynn saw her parents like this and she simply said, “It’s okay, I just don’t have any plans to date for now, let alone think about getting married.”
“However, Orlando didn’t mean it that way, maybe it ended up being nothing in the end.”
They didn’t intentionally hide it from her, so she naturally wouldn’t be angry.
Alyssa held her hand and said, “Okay, as long as you don’t want to, our parents won’t force you, let alone arrange any kind of marriage. The Stout family doesn’t need to use their daughter as a tool.
Yes!”
Kaeden and Marcel both agreed in unison.
Jocelynn smiled as she looked at their happy family. With a loving home like this, what more could she ask for?
In the following days, she stayed at home, either watching TV with her mother or exploring the house by herself.
Because their house was really big, there was a three–story arcade, a two–story gym, a ground–floor private cinema, and even a floor dedicated to a snow house for summer cooling, which could automatically make ice.
Finally, there was a chance to go out, and I went to the company to deliver the documents to Kaeden.
On her way home, however, she encountered Trevor again.
Now, she finally understood the meaning of lingering spirits.
Once upon a time, when she loved him, he seemed to be busy all the time, busy with laboratory matters, busy with Miranda. When she stopped loving him, he became idle again.
Humans, oh what strange creatures they are.
Trevor held a bouquet and hurriedly ran towards her, saying, “Jocelynn, these are lilies that you like. I bought them specially for you. Didn’t we agree before that we would get married after graduation?”
“Now, I have bought a Dior diamond ring for you. I bought it for
or you in this lifetime.”
He knelt on one knee and took out a ring, saying.
“Jocelynn, will you marry me?”
