Chapter 31
Trevor looked up and said, “I…”
Jocelynn interrupted him directly, saying, “At that time, you were the only person I could rely on, but what about you? You ruthlessly stabbed me in the heart.”
Back then, I warned myself that everything between us was over.
Thinking back to her lonely and helpless past, tears welled up in the corners of her eyes.
Fortunately, the police led her biological parents to her at that time, otherwise, she didn’t know what to do alone afterward.
Trevor’s face turned stiff. “I’m sorry, I was wrong back then, and I will spend my whole life making it up.
“Afterwards, afterward, I will spend my whole life trying to make up for it, okay?”
A cold smile appeared on Jocelynn’s face, “A lifetime? Do you think I still cherish your lifetime?
“You always thought that I refused to forgive you because of Miranda, but the real reason behind it all, isn’t it because you couldn’t
control your own heart?
“Flies don’t bite seamless eggs, your heart had already gone
Trevor couldn’t speak, he just stared blankly at Jocelynn.
He opened his mouth but didn’t know how to explain.
Jocelynn stood up and coldly looked at him, “If you truly loved me, you should not have the audacity to bother me again.”
“Firstly, because of my foster parents and Miranda, you have no face to look for me anymore. Secondly, with my current status compared to yours, you are reaching too high, and our backgrounds are mismatched.”
“From now on, we should have nothing to do with each other.”
After saying that, she turned around without hesitation and left.
“Jocelynn!” Trevor called out, trying to catch up.
Jocelynn suddenly turned around and looked at him, “Do you have any explanations to give?”
Trevor paused, he was speechless.
One by one, they were laid out in front of him. What else did he have to explain?
How could he explain it again?
Faced with these bleak realities, his explanations only appeared even more feeble and powerless.
Without saying another word, Jocelynn turned and left.
And he stood there, looking somewhat bewildered.
He stood in the mall for an hour before leaving, aimlessly walking the streets of Lochmist. He felt like there was a piece missing from
his heart
He had long ago completely lost the person he loved the most…
On the other hand, Jocelynn felt great after leaving.
The next day, they happily flew to Linport with their family.
The family boarded the plane cheerfully. Alyssa disliked the food there and brought a bunch of local specialty foods with her.
Marcel advised her to bring less, but she said, “These are all dishes that Jocelynn loves to eat. I’m afraid the ones bought there will taste different from those in our hometown, and she won’t be used to them.”
She said, and she pushed her son’s hand away, putting everything in the airplane’s luggage compartment.
When Jocelynn was getting ready to board the plane, she received a message from Orlando.
“That day’s family banquet, 1 did not intentionally embarrass you, it’s just that I am currently not in the mood for family matters. I hope you have a safe journey to Linport.”
She was a little surprised and replied, “Thank you,” after reading it.
She didn’t care about what happened that day and later on, Orlando also helped her several times.
“Jocelynn, get on the plane!” Alyssa called out to her from the cabin door.
Jocelynn smiled and replied, “I’m coming!”
She turned off her phone and followed her family onto the plane.
“Boom…”
The plane took off, and the ground outside the window kept shrinking as the aircraft soared through the clouds and headed toward Linport
Jocelynn sat in her seat, gazing out of the window, feeling an infinite sense of emotion.
In just two short months, she went through a lot.
However, her life would get better and better afterward.
Like this soaring airplane, breaking through the clouds, flying towards higher realms of life…..
