Chapter 9
As soon as Jocelynn opened her eyes, she saw Trevor and Miranda exchanging messages.
Seeing those resolute words, she felt an invisible hand tightly clutching her heart.
He had always known how deep his liking for her was, so he shamelessly indulged in this liking, being ambiguous with other women.
Jocelynn closed her eyes again, even though it was midsummer, she felt a chill running through her body.
She didn’t say a word until the car drove out of the Amusement Park area.
Trevor thought she was really tired and didn’t disturb her
Just out of Northfalcon, the phone connected to the car’s Bluetooth rang
Trevor answered the call, and the sound of Miranda’s sabbing came through the speakers, “Brother, I just fell down the subway stairs right after leaving the Amusement Park. I’m bleeding a lot, can you accompany me to the hospital? I’m really scared.”
Trevor tightened his hand on the steering wheel and abruptly hit the brakes.
Jocelynn, in the back seat, had her head slammed against the backrest due to inertia.
“Jocelynn… Trevor looked flustered, struggling to find the right words.
Jocelynn looked at Miranda, who was full of injuries, with her heart
t and eyes, instead of herself who had been hit on the head.
She forced herself to piece together her shattered emotions and spoke softly, “You should hurry and take her to the hospital, after all, it was you who brought her to Wood pond.”
Her face was hidden in the darkness, Trevor couldn’t see her expression, and he didn’t have time to guess her thoughts
“Wait for me here, I will acro
Laccompany her to the hospital first. As long as her condition stabilizes, I will come back immediately to pick you up, and then we will go home together.”
Jocelynn didn’t say much and got out of the car directly by opening the door.
The car sped away, and the exhaust fumes it raised choked her, making her cough desperately, and tears came out as well
She rubbed her sour nose and slowly looked up at the night sky, forcing herself to swallow the remaining tears.
It’s okay, I already knew that man’s interest in Miranda, but it was just another confirmation
Everything in the past has already collapsed irretrievably.
Jocelynn did not wait for Trevor in place, but hailed a taxi and chartered it back to South City.
On the way back, I don’t know if the air conditioning in the taxi was set too low or what happened
Jocelynn felt empty inside as if a big hole had been torn open, and an endless cold wind was blowing into it, making her shiver uncontrollably.
“Miss, are you okay? How come you’re shivering in this hot summer?” the driver kindly asked
Jocelynn shook her head and tightened her clothes around her body.
“Please drive faster, I want t
want to go home, thank you.”
At 3 a.m., Jocelynn finally arrived home..
It was not until the next morning that Trevor, who had promised to come back home, still hadn’t returned.
He sent Jocelynn a WhatsApp message: “Baby, her condition was very unstable, I couldn’t leave. I will come back tomorrow to apologize to you, love you.”
Jocelynn felt a hollow burning sensation in her stomach. How could this man claim to love her and yet effortlessly be by another woman’s side?
She did not reply to this message.

I looked at the time on my phone, it was 1 PM on June 29th.
There were less than eighteen hours left until it was time for her to meet her mother at the airport
Jocelynn organized and packed all the gifts Trevor had given her in the living room.
In the past four years, everything he gave to himself, he returned it all.
Including that love that had changed, she returned everything faithfully,
No, I don’t want it.
None of them are wanted anymore.
Nine hours remained until the countdown.
Jocelynn printed out all the Instagram messages Miranda sent and the WhatsApp provocations she sent to herself, and placed them on the coffee table.
Since they were a perfect match, I took it upon myself to play matchmaker for them and allow them to break through the ambiguous barrier.
Six hours remained until the countdown.
Jocelynn cleared out everything she had left in her house and threw it all away at the garbage station.
Things that are not needed should be thrown away.
No one can have something new while still clinging to the old.
The empty house no longer had a trace of Jocelynn.
From now on, there will never be her again.
Three hours remained until the countdown.
Jocelynn took out a piece of white paper and left a note for Trevor
“Trevor, let’s end our story here.”
“May you achieve your wishes in the future, and may I have a sunny journey ahead”
“From then on, never to be seen again!”
At the bottom of the page, she wrote down the three letters ‘Jocelynn“. She took one last look at the home that had contained her four years of youth, and without hesitation, she walked out carrying her suitcase.
No turning back, no regrets.
On the way to the airport, she deleted all the contact information of Miranda and Trevor, as well as all his classmates and friends.
Then, she also canceled the joint couple account with Trevor,
Upon arrival at Blue Airport, the VIP staff guided her to the private apron.
On the empty runway, there sat a small luxurious blue plane shimmering with golden light.
Dozens of bodyguards dressed in black stood at the entrance of the cabin door. Some took Jocelynn’s luggage from her hands, while others guided her up the boarding stairs.
Kaeden Stout and Alyssa Stout stood by the cabin door, excitedly watching her
“Jocelynn, once you boarded this plane, your new life began.”
Jocelynn nodded, her eyes slightly moist. “Okay.”
From this moment on,
n, from the moment I didn’t love Trevor, from the moment I didn’t want Trevor.
She, Jocelynn, was reborn.
In the future, she did not have a lover, but there would be someone who loved her more by her side.
Jocelynn stepped onto the final flight of stairs and took hold of Kaeden Alyssa’s hand.
People always move forward, and flowers bloom towards the sun.
From then on, her life shone brightly.
